Lowell’s eyes, wide with astonishment, took in the man before her in full. The pale platinum hair falling over his forehead, those deep blue eyes. Despite the bright colors, there was an inescapable gloom and ferocity about him.
All these descriptions pointed to only one person.
Peter. Her childhood friend. Her sole lingering regret.
But why was Peter here, of all places?
Lowell, confused, stumbled forward. The grip on her skirt had long since loosened. She reached out her hands towards him, moving as if trying to find her way out of darkness. Naturally, the exit from this darkness was the man in front of her, Peter.
But Lowell couldn’t escape the darkness. The moment her hand was about to touch the man, he roughly grabbed it. The man, now close, made her certainty even clearer.
“…Peter.”
It’s you. It can’t be anyone else. Even if his build had become more robust and his features changed, intuition spoke louder than any physical appearance.
She didn’t need to scrutinize his facial features to recognize him. He was undeniably Peter.
At the cusp of joy for this unexpected reunion, a cold sneer snapped her back to reality. Only then did she come out of her memories. The man, still holding her wrist, was looking at her with a cold sneer.

“Black hair and black eyes, I heard, but I didn’t believe it. Never thought they’d bring me someone who looks so much like her.”
So alike it’s revolting.
Muttering to himself, he then flung her aside. Despite the not-so-strong force, Lowell, caught off guard, was pushed back, collapsing onto the bed. Her heavily embellished skirt cushioned her fall, preventing any pain, but her appearance was undoubtedly disheveled.
And the man in front of her seemed to be enjoying this sight.
As he approached, he grabbed Lowell’s chin, lifting her face towards him. His icy blue eyes, like a frozen river, were simultaneously wild and cold.
“Tell me. What did those who sent you here say?”
“……What,”
“Surely you must have a purpose for daring to come before me with that face. Did they tell you to seduce me? Say that if you call me Peter and shed some tears, I might lift your skirts?”
His voice was steady but Lowell could feel the suppressed rage in it. She knew the emotion behind those eyes staring at her.
Murderous intent.

“You think I won’t kill you?”
“……Yes.”
Not answering would mean death, and Lowell had already anticipated such a situation. Naturally, she had her response ready.
“I am, needed by you.”
The emperor’s brow furrowed. The grip on her chin tightened, but Lowell continued firmly.
“I heard you’ve reached your limit… that if it progresses any further, it will be hard to maintain your sanity…”
Lowell’s breath quivered. Facing the emperor’s intense murderous intent was no easy feat, especially since what she was saying was provoking his deepest sensitivities.
There are two well-known facts about the Von Delaien Imperial family of the Belphagor Empire.
The first is their dragon lineage.
While supposedly mixed with dragon blood, their appearance doesn’t differ much from ordinary people.

The problem lies in the second fact.
The Von Delaien lineage is tainted with madness, an abnormal reaction from non-dragons inheriting dragon blood.
And the only known way to quell this madness is one: seeking a companion.
If they don’t find the companion they are terribly fixated on, their madness will eventually consume them.
This truth was epitomized by the current Emperor, Peter Von Delaien Belphagor.
He had not sought a companion for a long time, and the fact that the Emperor was suffering from madness was an open secret among the high nobility. That’s why there was an uproar among the nobility when he suddenly announced his desire to take a bride.
Without a companion, or something similar, he would indeed go mad.
Understanding Lowell’s implication, the Emperor let out a brief laugh.
“So, is that why I should spare your life? There are plenty of other women.”
“But hardly any woman meets the same criteria as I do.”
The reason the Emperor had been gradually losing his mind, refusing to find a companion.

His first love, a woman with black hair and black eyes, now dead.
Who she was and how she died were mysteries, but at least it was well-known that she was one of the rare individuals born with black hair.
“Only I… can quell your madness.”
“Ha.”
Finally, the Emperor burst into short laughter. Releasing Lowell, he approached the bed with a slow sneer, then abruptly came over.
“Yes, you’re right. If you’re so eager to deceive me using the dead, fine. I’ll play along.”
His face was smiling, but it soon became clear that the Emperor was far from pleased. His voice turned harsh as he laid Lowell back on the bed.
“Open your mouth. I’ll give you what you want.”
“Just a moment…”
Lowell’s urgent voice emerged, but it was abruptly cut off. The Emperor’s lips roughly overtook hers. Confused, she couldn’t resist the forceful invasion.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
