Anselot created a cluster of white light in the air.

The light gently lifted the people who had fainted on the ground and moved them back to where they originally were.

As I watched the situation being resolved, Anselot extended his hand to me.

“Let’s go inside.”

I relied on his arm to walk, my legs weak. Without his support, I might have collapsed again.

It was quiet around us.

With the unconscious still not awake, the palace felt like it was engulfed in a deep slumber.

I glanced at Anselot, who seemed unusually calm today. With his handsome face silent, he looked like a prince from a fairy tale.

‘If only he always spoke so normally.’

Lost in these thoughts and a soft chuckle, we arrived in front of the Princess’s palace.

“Thank you,” I said, returning his uniform.

“Have a good night, Princess,” Anselot replied.

“Wait, Anselot.”

I stopped him as he was turning to leave.

“Do you also want to destroy the dragon to break the system?”

He looked at me directly and slowly shook his head.

“No.”

“Then…?”

“What I want is only one thing,” Anselot said, pausing before speaking with a voice filled with long-held yearning.

“The death of the Light Dragon Helheim.”

“Why do you want the dragon gone?”

It was strange.

A bug, an entity against the system’s order, yet desiring the dragon’s demise so passionately.

“Hmm.”

Instead of answering, Anselot looked at me with soft, smiling eyes.

“A secret.”

His eyes, deep and dark despite the smile, made it impossible for me to inquire further.

The girl was born with a prophecy that she would possess the heart of the Light Dragon Helheim.

Unlike her grand destiny, she was as delicate and frail as a spring flower.

She succeeded in obtaining the dragon’s heart, but it was only half.

Ultimately, unable to fulfill the prophecy, she turned to ashes in Helheim’s flames.

Her death plunged the world into sorrow and darkness, a calamity that reshaped the world’s order.

Anselot still couldn’t remember her face.

But the agony he felt at her death remained.

Why have I forgotten you?

How did I completely lose you?

He felt a hollow ache in his heart.

Then, he looked up at Louibel’s lit bedroom.

At that moment, a surprising warmth spread across his lonely heart.

Feeling an unfamiliar heat, Anselot frowned and kept staring at her room, even after the lights went out and she fell asleep.

Continuously, from the same spot.

[This filthy, despicable bug!!! ୧༼◔益◔୧ ༽]

“Talking like that hurts my feelings.”

[That shady man is part of your group, right?! This cunning bunch of bugs!!!! ୧༼◔益◔୧ ༽]

“Calling me a buddy of a hitman is a bit too much.”

[Don’t talk to me!!! Go away!!!!! ୧༼◔益◔୧ ༽]

“Who was it that always stuck to me wherever I went?”

[Well, that’s because following the player is a noble duty of a herald… (๐•̆ •̆๐)]

The system window, which disappeared last night after a system adjustment notification, had been in this state all morning.

Displaying emoticons full of wariness, it sent prickly messages, yet it was the system window that initiated conversations with me.

[It’s unbelievable! The player is a bug… the bug is the player… (。ŏ﹏ŏ)]

Eventually, the system window started to sound tearful.

If left alone, it would again pour out a torrent of tears through its messages.

“Louibel.”

[(。ŏ﹏ŏ)…?] The system window displayed a tearful emoticon alongside a question mark.

“Call me Louibel, not Player.”

I corrected how the system window addressed me and added, “And I’m going to proceed with the scenario somehow.”

[You think I’ll let a bug like you proceed with the scenario!!! ٩(//̀Д/́/)۶]

“If you don’t cooperate, then I’ll have to harm you.”

According to Anselot, only a bug can damage the system window. The [Heralds] of the system suffer from the mere presence of a bug and become incapacitated by the bug’s murderous intent.

The previous [Herald] was replaced by a new one not just because of the damage it received but also due to the murderous aura emitted by Anselot when he revealed his existence before Hezhen’s death.

Pondering his words, I realized something odd.

‘But I wasn’t a bug, yet I managed to damage the system window.’

When I witnessed Hezhen’s conquest of the Saintess of Taal Kingdom, the moment my fist hit Hezhen’s face, the options above his head shattered.

‘Maybe I’ve been breaking free from the system since then.’

‘Since that time, I’ve been escaping the system…’

The system window had mentioned feeling a different dimension’s aura from me. Could that be related to breaking free from the system?

‘If it’s to silence you, I should completely shatter you like I did with the last system window. If it’s difficult, I can do it for you.’

‘It’s okay. I’ll try to talk to it.’

‘Talk?’

Anselot looked puzzled by my response.

But I couldn’t coldly shatter the system window that had been chattering beside me.

It worried about me and tried to protect me from Sedric.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
