“Although called the Emperor’s mad dog, he didn’t seem to like the Emperor very much.”

Seliya fixed her gaze on Dietrich’s face as she spoke.

But the man before her eyes was not disturbed by Seliya’s words. Although his inner thoughts were unknown, at least his visible expression showed no emotion.

He simply kept his mouth tightly shut, observing Seliya. Seliya continued to speak in a languid voice, as if not expecting a response from Dietrich.

“Contrary to the rumors that you followed the Emperor like a dog, you didn’t even glance at his corpse.”

Seliya finished speaking, and her eyes twinkled as she smiled. Her clear eyes narrowed into crescent shapes, resembling the moon.

Dietrich looked intently at her face, as if searching for something. Finally, he opened his mouth.

“It seems you’ve forgotten what I said earlier.”

His gaze shifted from Seliya’s smiling face to her neck.

“People who talk too much might have a shorter life. That was a warning for you.”

Instead of responding, Seliya looked at Dietrich’s right hand. Dietrich was clenching his fist, and to Seliya’s eyes, it seemed as if he were eager to strangle her.

“If you kill me now, you’ll surely regret it.”

At Seliya’s words, Dietrich’s eyes narrowed.

“Regret….”

Dietrich’s gaze remained fixed. A faint smile crept onto his dry face as he looked at Seliya’s slender neck.

“Then let’s test whether I’ll regret it after killing you.”

Dietrich put his words into action at once, grabbing Seliya’s neck tightly.

The nickname “mad dog” was not attached for no reason. Dietrich always exacted revenge several times over if someone wronged him.

He had never regretted anything in his life.

The Emperor should not have died. He should have killed him more horribly, more miserably, with his own hands.

But this woman had shattered his tenyear plan in an instant.

He had only let her live because killing her on a whim would surely cause an uproar. There was no benefit to killing her right then, so Dietrich had simply intended to scare her.

He didn’t like her condescending attitude, as if looking down on him, and had intended to teach her a lesson.

Despite her choking, Seliya was still smiling at Dietrich, not uttering a painful groan.

Then, Seliya’s small, pale hand touched Dietrich’s cheek.

The moment Seliya’s hand touched his cheek, the scent of hyacinths, which could not possibly exist in a prison, wafted through the air.

The overpowering fragrance enveloped both of them, causing Dietrich’s eyes to shake violently, like stormy waves just before a storm.

“!”

Dietrich suddenly released Seliya’s neck, leaving a reddish handprint.

Seliya touched her neck, where the mark was, and stared at Dietrich with wide eyes, as if looking at a fascinating creature. With her large green eyes, like a startled deer, Dietrich looked back with an indescribable expression.

“You’re not hurt?”

Seliya’s disbelieving voice echoed through the bars. Almost as soon as she finished speaking, the strong scent of hyacinths also vanished.

Dietrich glared at Seliya as if he wanted to kill her.

“How can you… use this ability?”

(This is a time separator.)

Brillion family mansion.

Once struggling to even pay the servants’ salaries, the grand mansion was now filled with various luxury items. It was hard to believe it was once a declining family.

From angel statues carved by renowned sculptors to fountains adorned with lion statues spewing water, to gardens filled with various rare flowers, there was nothing cheap about the place.
Inside the mansion, Lady Harriell Brillion, the owner of the Brillion estate, was present.

Her dark, navyblue hair, faded like wornout river water, was curled upwards in the fashionable updo popular among young noblewomen in the capital these days.

It was not a hairstyle fit for a noblewoman who had already given birth to three children.

She always insisted on looking young. Following the styles popular in the capital, she acted as if she were more elegant than anyone else.

Harriell was enjoying a foot massage from her maid, Lisa, leaning back slightly on a plush sofa.

“It feels especially refreshing today.”

Uncharacteristically, Harriell complimented Lisa.

Lisa, who massaged her mistress’s feet every day, noticed that her usually fussy mistress seemed unusually cheerful recently.

Specifically, since sending Seliya to the imperial palace.

Lisa cautiously observed her mistress’s mood. Harriell had almost sold Seliya to the old emperor while her husband, the viscount, and his two sons were away from the mansion.

Lisa knew that her mistress disliked Seliya, but she never expected her to do something so cruel.

Knowing how Seliya had been treated by her mistress, Lisa felt a great pity for her.

The Brillion Viscount estate, located far from the capital, had gained its abundant wealth and fame all thanks to Seliya.

After taking in Seliya, who was wandering the streets, as a foster daughter, the Brillion estate, which had previously had no visitors, bustled daily with those seeking her.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
