[This is a time separator.] [DASH] Thud.

The butler entered the room just as the cabinet door closed. Suddenly, Lea collapsed between Count Heidern’s legs.

Had they been slightly later, the housekeeper would have discovered them together. Lea, who had just managed to hide her body in a close call, felt her heart about to explode.

[DASH] Miss Lea?

The butler’s voice searching for her came from outside the cabinet.

‘Why did he pull me in?’

He could have hidden himself even if she had hidden.

This is the dispensary! It’s natural that the dispenser is in the dispensary!

In the pitchdark cabinet, she saw the Count. Whether he had acted momentarily too, he avoided Lea’s gaze.

‘Why on earth did you do that, Count!’

Lea had to swallow back the question she wanted to ask.

“Shh.”

The count pressed her lips with his index finger, sending a signal to keep quiet. And the count carefully propped his arms against the cabinet wall.

The distance from when he leaned on the desk earlier was different. The man’s body was so close it seemed their noses would touch any moment.

[DASH] Thump, thump, thump.

As she became aware of this fact, her heart began to bounce wildly.

‘Too close.’

The count and she were attached to each other like magnets. So close that they could feel each other’s heartbeat on their skin.

[DASH] Gulp.

Lea unknowingly swallowed. Every time the count’s breath touched her forehead, a hot spot bloomed there.

And the heavy body scent tickling her nose since a while ago.

Surely, it was the Count who seemed sickly. But now, at this moment, he felt like the healthiest man ever.

[DASH] Leaving the candle on, where did he go? Did he go to the restroom?

Was he looking for something? The sound of the butler rummaging around came.

‘Please don’t come here…….’

But as always, the desperate does not come true. The shuffling footsteps stopped in front of the cabinet. And then.

[DASH] Clink.

At the same time as the butler put his hand on the cabinet handle, the door slowly opened.

[DASH] Squeak.

The rusty cabinet opened with a chilling sound.

‘Ah, no!’

Seeing the light seeping into the dark, narrow cabinet, Lea clenched her eyes shut. What should she explain this situation to the housekeeper?

A flood of countless thoughts entangled.

[DASH] Ah, it’s there.

The butler muttered and closed the cabinet door that was open. Fortunately, it seemed he found what he was looking for, as the sound of him closing the dispensary door and leaving was heard.

The two who had been holding their breath exhaled as they heard the housekeeper’s footsteps moving away from the dispensary. The breath of Count Heidern and Lea tangled in the narrow cabinet.

But perhaps because they were too tense, they didn’t realize that their bodies were pressed against each other.

“Did he leave, Count?”

Lea murmured softly, and he nodded.

“It seems so.”

The count, too, must have been very tense, as he finally let go of the wall he had been supporting himself with. Lea felt a resentment towards the Count as her tension eased.

She didn’t have to come into this cabinet in the first place. Why did he have to drag her here and create this situation?

Lea felt aggrieved as if she had only fretted for nothing.

“Why did you pull me so suddenly? Why did you bring me in with you?”

“I was planning to keep an eye on what the butler was doing here.”

At Lea’s bold words blaming him, he let out a restrained laugh.

“And then you almost got caught.”

It was good that he was trying to watch the butler, but if the fact that the count was here was discovered, wouldn’t all their effort crumble?

“It didn’t get caught in the end, so isn’t it okay? And the butler didn’t even need to open the cabinet in the first place.”

“You mean, you knew what the butler was looking for?”

“Yes. I had a rough idea. But before that…”

He pointed towards the door as he spoke.
“Aren’t you going to open the door now?”

At the Count’s words, Lea was taken aback. In the midst of their conversation, she had forgotten she was inside a cabinet.

“Oh, I’m sorry!”

Strangely enough, when talking with the Count, she tended to become so absorbed in the situation that she lost awareness of her surroundings.

Shaking her head as if she couldn’t believe her own behavior, Lea pushed the door of the cabinet.

However.

“Why is that?”

“Huh…. that’s strange.”

Briefly tilting her head, Lea applied force once again to push the door. Despite putting more effort than before, the door didn’t budge.

[Dash] Thump, thump. Bang, bang!

“The door won’t open….”

“What?”

The Count responded with an expression that suggested disbelief. A long arm stretched out from behind Lea, who was trying to push the door open.

[Dash] Bang, bang!

Despite the Count’s best efforts, the cabinet door would not open.

“It’s not opening, is it?”

She thought maybe she was too weak to open the door. But looking at the Count’s stern face, it was clear he couldn’t open it either.

“…… Is it because the cabinet can’t be opened from the inside?”
