Ji Yoon’s house required a bit more walking even after climbing the steep slope and all the stairs.

“Here we are.”

Ji Yoon patted Ha Jun’s shoulder and got off his back.

Then she opened the narrow front gate and went in, opening the windowed door.

Ha Jun, who had stepped inside the gate without thinking, was just about to turn back around.

Ji Yoon came out through the windowed door and handed him a glass of barley tea.

“Please drink.”

“Yeah. Thanks.”

For a brief moment, Ji Yoon felt dizzy and slumped against the wall, looking up at Ha Jun.

When Ha Jun glanced around, inspecting the house, she suddenly felt embarrassed without meaning to.

In truth, Ha Jun had only been checking whether the area was safe since Ji Yoon lived here alone.

“I live here like this with my mom and dad.”

She gave an awkward smile and shrugged her shoulders.

She couldn’t very well demand, ‘What? Never seen a house like this before?’

Only then did Ha Jun hand back the empty glass and repeat something she’d said in the car.
