After visiting the media art exhibition, Dan Woo became busy.

Ji An returned home late and left early repeatedly, to the point where she could stay still without saying a word.

When she casually asked him in passing, he replied nonchalantly.

“I’ve just gotten a bit busier with work.”

“Work?”

“Yeah. Work.”

During the few days Dan Woo had been occupied, Ji An’s month-long stay in Jeju was drawing to a close.

With just two days left in her stay, Ji An planned to move to a hotel today and hike Hallasan as her final activity.

For that reason, she returned home earlier than usual—and slowed her steps upon spotting Dan Woo’s sedan parked outside.

He must’ve come home early.

Yet inside, the house remained quiet as ever.

Having just finished placing her mountain-themed picture book on the shelf, filling it to the brim, she looked up toward the second floor.

Then, thinking of Dan Woo, who’d been constantly busy, she murmured to herself,

“Well, even people need rest sometimes.”

Ji An went into the kitchen and checked on the mulled wine she’d made by simmering wine with dried fruit and spices. After letting it cool slightly, she poured it into an airtight bottle, attached a brief note, and placed it in the fridge.
