Sunday morning.
Having secured a bicycle ride with Ji An through a wish, Ha Joon parked his car in front of the lakeside villa.
As soon as he dialed the number on his phone, Ji An’s voice came through.
“I’m in front of the villa. Take your time coming.”
Having finished getting ready to go out, Ji An picked up her bag.
Rrrrr. Rrrrr.
When the bell rang again, she carelessly opened her phone.
“Huh, why?”
The voice on the other end wasn’t Ha Joon but her father, Jae Yoon.
“Dad.”

“Several times. I couldn’t reach you during the day, so I tried again at night.”
Ji An was considering visiting her grandmother’s house since there were often days her father didn’t answer his phone.
Carefully, she added more words.
“Dad, aren’t you overdoing it? Why are you pushing yourself so hard?”
[Dash] I’ve fixed up grandma’s house, so visit next weekend. With your mom and sister.“Together?”
She wanted to ask if they really had to go together, but the thought of seeing her father after a long time made Ji An close her mouth.
[Dash] I’ll call your mom. Make sure you all go together. I have something important to tell you.“Okay.”

Jae Yoon hastily ended the call.
Pulling her bicycle, Ji An entered the elevator and recalled the conversation she had with Dan Woo last night.
‘So you’re going bike riding?’
‘Yeah.’
‘Actually, I got angry after having cold noodles for dinner with Tae Yoon. Seeing him with Lawyer Yoon made me jealous… I’m so narrow-minded.’
‘Should we skip bike riding?’
‘Go first. Make sure you answer my call.’
Ji An mulled over the words ‘Go first.’
It was better to be honest than to say it’s okay because we’re friends. She thought she should ask in advance in the future.
An old male friend was really a complicated and difficult being to manage when such things happened.

As Ji An left the Lake Tower lobby, Ha Joon briskly walked over. He had attached both his and Ji An’s bicycles side by side on the car’s roof.
Getting into the driver’s seat, Ha Joon spoke.
“How about Seoul Forest?”
“Yeah.”
He didn’t miss the gloomy tone in Ji An’s voice and asked.
“Why? Did Woo CEO say something?”
“What?”
“Your voice sounds down. Did you ask Woo CEO if it’s okay to go riding?”
“He’s not a friend like you are to me. It’s only right to ask.”
“So you’re saying you talked about me again in my absence. I don’t like that.”

Yesterday, after keeping their twice-postponed dinner date, it had gotten quite late by the time he got home.
Was all he received a single text asking if he got home okay, while they had been on a phone call?
Curious about everything, Ha Joon quickly shook off the thought.
Ji An was more honest with her feelings.
“Friends and lovers can’t be the same. I came out because I postponed our riding date due to me, but my heart feels heavy.”
“Is Woo CEO bothering you that much?”
“Yeah.”
“If you don’t feel right about it, let’s acknowledge it. Let’s make today our last ride together. Is that okay?”
“Given the circumstances… but it really is the last!”
As Ji An widened her eyes to ask, Ha Joon pushed her forehead back with his index finger.

“Don’t widen your eyes like that in front of Woo CEO. You look so ugly it makes my heart pound.”
“Ugly? Not our Dan Woo. I tell him he’s pretty every day. I’m saying this specially because it’s you, but if you get a girlfriend, compliment her often. If you do it like you do to me, they’ll all run away.”
Turning his head to face forward, Ha Joon stared intently at Ji An.
Woo Dan Woo seems to have taken a liking to Ji An. Well, that’s fortunate.
But whenever Woo Dan Woo’s presence intruded upon the conversation, her mood soured.
Listening to her talk about him made me regret all the things I couldn’t do for her. The irreversible fact pained me as well.
As Ji An fastened her seatbelt with a fumble, Ha Joon started the car.
The weather was clear, the sky’s clouds leisurely, and even the wind that blew was warm.
Ha Joon parked the car in the Seoul Forest parking lot, took down two bicycles, and firmly pressed the wheels to the ground.
Looking at Ha Joon, Ji An briefly thought of the past.
‘You know you’re lacking exercise, right? At least 80% of the reason you can walk on two feet is because of me.’

Riding was a hobby of Ha Joon’s that occasionally stole my holidays, but I didn’t entirely dislike it as it allowed me to enjoy the seasons.
Cherry blossoms flying in the spring are the best, but running under the scorching summer sun while looking at green leaves was also fine.
Both fall, covered in fallen leaves, and winter had their own romances.
‘I’ve spent many seasons with Ha Joon.’
Sitting side by side, Ji An propped her chin and firmly pressed the back wheel of her bicycle.
Thinking back to memories of going home side by side after eating patbingsu when the riding was over, Ha Joon asked. He wanted to end this time no differently from before.
“End it with patbingsu. Is that okay?”
“Patbingsu? I remember not eating Yoon Ha Joon’s special patbingsu last year. I’ll consider it if you buy something expensive.”
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
