Ah, it feels like death.

Thoughts get complicated.

“But the Empress.”

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

“Hmm, that’s strange.”

Emperor Rinel paused as he was about to say something.

He threw out the words ‘That’s strange’, waiting for me to ask ‘What is it?’.

I kept silent, as I was not curious at all.

He would speak if he had something to say without being asked.

“Did I think my face was pretty good because other women do all sorts of things to make eye contact with me?”

As I expected, the emperor, tired of waiting, started talking on his own.

The emperor’s face, even with all sorts of flattery, is not enough to end with the word ‘good’.

Your selfassessment is really modest.

I lifted my head to look up at him.

“But now that I see, not only my face, but other parts of me are also quite good?”

I was confused about how to react to his gaze, a playful glimpse in the midst of seriousness.

“It means you should look at my face when I speak, even if you like my instep more than my face.”

“Ah, yes, Your Majesty.”

Only then did I realize that I had been watching his instep all along.

Alright, as soon as I answered and my gaze went back down to his instep, he swiftly lifted my chin.

“I have plenty of people bowing their heads in front of me for life. There’s no need for the Empress to do the same.”

It was a tone that I couldn’t tell if it was a command or a request.

I stared into his pupils as he wanted.

“Much better. I hope the Empress’s eyes stay on my face. I know that I like my instep more than my face.”

“Oh my…….”

I couldn’t help but exclaim in response to the emperor’s humor.

He seemed embarrassed, knowing that his humor was a bit too much, and his lips curled slightly.

I burst into laughter at his repentant expression.

“Puhah!”

Have I finally lost my mind?

Laughing out loud in front of the emperor.

He looked at me with a detached gaze, then raised one hand and wiped one side of his face.

It seemed my saliva had splashed on his face.

“Ex, excuse me, Your Majesty.”

I lightly slapped my lips with my hand, begging for forgiveness.

He chuckled dryly.

While I was flustered, his smoothly chiseled upper body suddenly came close in front of me.

Due to the surprise, my body, which was sitting upright, leaned back onto the bed.

Just before I was about to fall flat on my back, I quickly braced my hands on the bed.

“If I must answer the Empress’s question, the priests do not witness the first night with the remarried empress. Is your curiosity satisfied now?”

Damn. Princess Resilia must be at ease.

“Yes.”

I nodded apprehensively.

And while openly appreciating the Emperor’s subtly wriggling chest muscles in front of my eyes, I met his eyes.

The small, finely cut abs felt more sensual under the dark light.

Even at a glance, his solid abs had many large and small wounds.

The scars of honor obtained on the battlefield seemed to engrave memories, leaving marks on his belly.

Feeling my hot gaze, Emperor Rinel brushed his belly with his hand.

“They were weak opponents.”

He said, pointing at the biggest scar mark right above his navel.

“Yes?”

“The one who inflicted this scar.”

“Oh, but how did a weak opponent cause the biggest scar?”

“This is a secret. But as it’s our first day as a couple, I’ll tell only the Empress.”

He suddenly lowered his voice.

A secret? He’s telling only me?

Whether it’s for the better or worse, I opened my eyes wide and listened carefully to his words, ‘especially’ and ‘secret’.

“I, uh…….”

“Yes…….”

“I tend to let my guard down against weak opponents.”

What?

“……Really big secret, isn’t it?”

While pretending to agree with his words as much as possible, I spoke sarcastically.

I was worried if he might have noticed my intention, but thankfully, he also nodded his head, saying, “That’s what I mean?” in response to my words.

The faces of the two, which were close to each other, quickly parted again.

“You must be nervous, but there’s nothing to worry about.”

“What do you mean?”

“The priests who don’t even have divine power properly won’t know whether we really spend the night or not. So, I’m thinking of just acting and finishing it.”

“Acting……?”

“Yes. I also have no intention of showing off my abilities to the priests for free.”

I wanted to ask what that ability was, but my heart had already understood its meaning and began to race.

Heart, calm down. It doesn’t seem like something you should expect?

“I have no intention of enjoying it in this state.”

Emperor Rinel muttered in a serious tone.

I lined up his words in my head and tried to analyze their meaning.

Did he say ‘this state’ referring to me?

Or is he talking about this situation where the clergy are observing?

What does he mean by pretending?

I couldn’t find any clue in his eerily impassive expression.

“Shall we start now?”

“…Pardon?”

Emperor Rinel, looking at my startled face, chuckled and immediately shouted towards the bedroom door in a very businesslike manner.

“Come in!”

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
