I stopped walking again.

Then, I turned my body towards where Emperor Adrian was.

[Dache] ‘Hail to the Queen of Wyverns!’

In the distance, Emperor Adrian spread his left arm and bowed slightly.

“Seems you’ve come out for a walk.”

I approached Emperor Adrian and started a conversation.

“Yes, the walking paths of the Laphion Imperial Palace are so splendid that I keep wandering outside.”

Beside the Emperor Adrian, who responded cheekily, was his empress, Eran.

Although she had allowed me to sit beside her during the martial arts competition at the banquet, it seemed to be true.

“I greet the Empress of the Laphion Empire.”

“Eran, how are your wounds?”

“They are healing.”

With a bitter smile, Eran lifted her hand to the bandaged right side of her face.

“Scars of glory are beautiful. Don’t you think so, Eran?”

Emperor Adrian lifted Eran’s chin with a single finger, making her face me.

“Yes. I think so too.”

Eran replied like a loyal knight.

“Excellent.”

“But, Your Majesty, it’s a woman’s face. Your Majesty, please put more effort into treating Eran Empress’s wounds with tender care.”

I disliked Emperor Adrian’s attitude towards Eran as if she were a knight who had earned merit on the battlefield.

“I hold tender feelings for all women.”

His gaze, scrutinizing me to the bone, gave me chills.

If only I could brush off that creepy gaze, I would want to sweep away everything, even the Tevero Empire on the South Continent, with the power of the Silverfish.

“Where were you heading?”

“I was heading to the Western Palace.”

“Is there a place there that you highly regard, Your Majesty the Empress?”

It sounded like he was fishing for something.

“There is no place in the Laphion Palace that I do not highly regard.”

At the sound of Emperor Adrian’s laughter, all the birds in the surrounding trees flew into the sky.

I looked up at the flying birds and then lowered my gaze to Emperor Adrian’s face again.

His expression, with the laughter gone, was like that of someone who had never laughed in their entire life.
A psycho with such ever-changing expressions should be avoided altogether.

“Well then, continue enjoying a pleasant walk with Empress Eran. I shall take my leave.”

I bid farewell to Emperor Adrian and exchanged greetings with Empress Eran before turning away.

[Dache] ‘How does Her Majesty the Empress know the language of wyverns?’

Emperor Adrian once again communicated through his inner thoughts.

I felt the burn on my right burn scar heat up for a moment.
