Hae Joo fully woke up around 10 a.m.

Only then did her fatigue dissipate, and her body felt lighter.

Nothing was resolved yet; it was just Do Jun being by her side that made the morning feel new.

“Awake?”

Do Jun stretched out while still lying down, his muscles flexing impressively from head to toe.

Hae Joo ran her hands over his shoulders and chest.

“Have you always been this fit?”

“Some of it is natural.”

“What about Do Jun’s brother?”

“I-Jun was about the same height but leaner.”

“Sounds like a perfect fit for a celebrity.”

“People used to suggest putting him in modeling contests when he was younger.”

“And you?”

“I was his bodyguard.”

Hae Joo chuckled, observing Do Jun closely.

His sharp facial features, extending over his defined jawline, were strikingly untouchable.

“Who do you resemble in your family, Do Jun?”

“I’ve heard I take after my paternal grandfather. What about you?”

“My dad. You’d smile just looking at his photo.”

After her parents’ divorce, Hae Joo lived with her dad until his passing.

Coming home from kindergarten, she would often fall asleep waiting for her busy dad.

Back then, Hae Joo was very young.

Her dad would always whisper ‘Sorry, my daughter,’ to her as she slept without dinner.

Busy as he was, Hae Joo always cherished her dad.

“From now on, I’ll take good care of you.”

Getting out of bed, Do Jun pressed a kiss on Hae Joo’s cheek.

He ordered food to replenish her regained strength.

They had kalguksu (Korean noodle soup) for brunch.

“Why don’t you eat rice, Do Jun?”

“Just eat well without worrying about me.”

Today, her morning sickness was less severe.

Do Jun shared his portion with Hae Joo, who devoured the noodles eagerly.

“About the dream I had.”

“What?”

“I think I know what it means.”

“What do you think?”

“I have a feeling it might be a boy.”

“……!”

“Seems like it’s going to be extraordinary.”

Hae Joo too felt confident that Do Jun’s intuition wouldn’t be wrong.

Putting down her bowl of kalguksu, she asked seriously.

“What were you like as a child, Do Jun?”

“I was kind of a neighborhood leader.”

Do Jun scratched the back of his head.

Unlike I-Jun, who loved books, Do Jun enjoyed sports and led his friends around.

“Let’s look at the ultrasound picture again.”

“Here it is.”

Do Jun studied the ultrasound picture intently, his eyes not ordinary.

After exclaiming various expressions of awe, he concluded.

“At least it’s not twins.”

“If it were twins, the hospital would have told us by now.”

“Why did the three puppies merge into one in the dream?”

Do Jun hoped for a daughter resembling Hae Joo.

Having only seen rowdy boys, he felt a bit disappointed.

“No choice then.”

“What do you mean?”

“Let’s try for a daughter next time.”

Hae Joo glared at Do Jun, half-seriously.

Having barely survived morning sickness, she couldn’t imagine going through pregnancy again.

“Maybe the baby will be a boyish girl.”

Do Jun’s face, previously filled with laughter, suddenly paled.

But Hae Joo, unconcerned, continued enjoying her dessert.

“Enough about dreams, let’s solve our problems first.”

“……Right.”

“I need to stop by the office for a bit.”
“Do you really have to go?”

“The sooner things get sorted, the sooner we can resume filming. I don’t want to be a burden to the others.”

“I’ll take you there.”

Hae Joo waved her hand.

“I’ll call Hyun Seong. That’s better.”

“Don’t stay long. Just talk about what’s necessary and come out.”

“I will.”

“Let’s leave this hotel.”

“Do you have a place in mind?”

“I’ll book a suite at the W Hotel. Come there later.”

It was time for her to leave.

“Are you going to work, Do Jun?”

“I took a few days off. I’m thinking of meeting Yi Yu Ra today.”

“My sister?”

“Don’t worry, it’s nothing serious.”

Hae Joo finished getting ready and called Hyun Seong.

Responding to her request, he arrived quickly.

Hae Joo got into the van with Do Jun’s farewell.

As the car door closed, Hyun Seong asked how she was feeling.

“Better than before. You must have had a tough time too, right?”

“Not at all.”

The roads were quite empty.

Facing reality again, Hae Joo held her phone, praying silently.

“Hopefully, nothing goes wrong.”

Hae Joo nervously opened the internet.

Among various speculative articles, Choi In Ho’s latest piece dominated the headlines.

“How could he say such things!”

“What’s wrong?”

“Reporter Choi In Ho posted an article targeting Do Jun.”

The article spread baseless lies about not only Do Jun but also President Park.

It was a clear attempt to counter Do Jun’s statement from yesterday.

The comment section was already a mess.

She couldn’t bear to read more than a few comments and closed the article.

“Can I also be of help to Do Jun?”

“If you are sure about your feelings, it doesn’t matter what others say.”

When Jin Han proposed a press conference, she wasn’t sure she could endure the pain of being exposed to the world.

Facing criticism head-on was a huge risk.

Holding a press conference didn’t necessarily guarantee a good outcome.
