“Father. Father, why are you still at home instead of going out?”

Hye Won, having spotted Chairman Ha Baek Seung, widened her eyes and mouth in surprise. She’d followed in nervously, reassured he wasn’t home—only to run right into him the moment she stepped inside.

“What’s going on here?”

But the one most shocked was Chairman Ha himself. The girl trailing behind his son looked vaguely familiar—and then he realized it was Hye Won.

It wasn’t that she’d come to the house that startled him. What puzzled him was why—how—she’d arrived here together with his son.

Did they bump into each other outside?

“No, seriously, why are you still home? Aren’t you going out?”

Yet his son immediately scolded him instead, bewildered as to why he hadn’t left the house by this hour. Chairman Ha glanced once at Hye Won, then at his son, tilting his head in confusion.

“Did you two come in side by side, or did you arrive separately and just happen to meet? Which is it?”

Both parties were clamoring for the other to clear up their confusion first.

Seeing Hye Won standing stiffly, biting her lips, Tae Beom’s father—Kyun Ho—glanced briefly at her, then turned his gaze back toward his own father.

“I brought her here.”

“You? Why?”

“No, I’m asking why you’re still at home instead of going out.”

“I’m in my own house—what business is it of yours to keep telling me to leave? Where else am I supposed to go, leaving my own home behind?”
