“Didn’t see it?”

When Tae Beom asked again, Hye Won did her absolute best to feign ignorance.

“Yes. Did you go on air? What broadcast, and how did you even appear on it?”

“Huh.”

A disappointed sigh escaped him. Looking at Hye Won with eyes that were half believing and half doubtful, she started growing uneasy, afraid her lie might be uncovered.

…I saw it.

Once Tae Beom was certain she’d watched it, he folded his arms and leaned back comfortably against the sofa. Then, pulling out his phone, he mumbled,

“I knew you’d say that, so I brought it along. Let’s just watch it together here, nice and cozy, just you and me…”

“No, no! There’s no need to watch that together!”

When Hye Won desperately tried to stop him, Tae Beom let out a quiet chuckle. He gazed at her as she approached, clutching a tissue, and gave her a warm look, as if gently caressing her face with his eyes.

I missed you, Hye Won. I simply can’t stay away from you.

“But what’s that over there?”

Sensing he might say something reckless, Tae Beom quickly changed the subject, lifting his chin toward something. Following his gaze, Hye Won spotted the puzzle and simply shrugged her shoulders.

“It’s a puzzle. I bought it thinking I’d try it as a hobby, but I haven’t even started yet.”

“Well, let’s start right now. How many pieces? Hope it’s around a hundred thousand or so.”
