The Secretary's Power (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 71
Tae Beom left the parking lot—too cramped for a proper conversation—and headed with Sung Heon to a nearby bar.
Tae Beom ordered side dishes he barely cared about and, taking off his outer jacket, looked at Sung Heon.
“You two look quite alike.”
“Huh? Me? Oh—you mean Hye Won.”
Sung Heon’s face flushed with embarrassment, as if he’d hidden Hye Won’s gaze somewhere within his own. He’d resolved to go find Tae Beom immediately, but he’d been uneasy, wondering if the Executive Director of Yusun Airlines—now separated from his sister—would even want to see him.
Yet Tae Beom had reached out to him first, as naturally as if he’d been waiting all along.
“I came to see you today because…”
“Let’s drink first.”
As Tae Beom poured the liquor, Sung Heon flinched slightly, lowered his shoulders, and accepted the glass with both hands. When Sung Heon took the bottle and poured back with another courteous gesture, Tae Beom accepted it with formal posture.
Though they both knew it was a meaningless ritual, each turned their head slightly away while drinking. The warmth spread through their stomachs, but their tongues still tingled from the chill that lingered.
Khh—Sung Heon let out a familiar, satisfying sound after downing his first shot.
He then grimaced and wiped his lips. In contrast, Tae Beom quietly finished his drink with lips neatly closed—this sight made Sung Heon’s expression soften imperceptibly.
Almost unconsciously, he straightened his own posture, mimicking Tae Beom. He couldn’t simply overlook Tae Beom’s upright bearing and calm expression—traits so deeply ingrained in him.
It felt as though everything had been revealed in just one shot of soju—that their lives had been cut from entirely different cloths, their paths poles apart.
“Last time, a woman named Director Park came to see me.”

My Step-brother Is Obsessed With Me (Female-dominant)
A gentle female protagonist vs pitiful in the early stage, and a sick male protagonist in the later stage
Cheng Songer transmigrated into the body of a vicious cannon fodder female supporting character with the same name as her in a female-dominant novel.
In the original story, the cannon fodder female supporting character was inhumane, committing domestic violence, gambling excessively, being lustful, and even wanting to sell her stepbrother to a brothel for money.
As luck would have it, she just happened to transmigrate at this time.
Seeing Cheng Qingzhi biting his lip, enduring the tears in his eyes, looking pitiful, her heart softened.
She stuffed the money back into the Madam’s hand and reached out to him.
“Brother, come home with me.”
