The Secret Night at Unyeon Palace (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 87
Awakening from sleep, Eun Seol sat up and looked around.
Gradually, as her eyes adjusted to the darkness, the outlines of the room became visible. It was an unfamiliar room.
“What happened? Why am I here?”
She must have dozed off while leaning against the wall. Apparently, this was the inner quarters of the physician’s house.
She got off the bed, straightened her clothes, and stepped outside.
Quite some time had passed—the rain had already stopped, and dawn was slowly breaking.
Quietly, she entered the room where Eun Joo lay. The physician, who had been keeping vigil all night, was seated and nodding off.
“Hey, you. Go rest properly elsewhere.”
Seeing her, the physician rubbed both hands over his face and stood up.
“Fortunately, her fever has subsided. I administered herbal medicine, but the wounds are deep, so we’ll need to monitor her further. She groaned in pain all night and only just managed to fall asleep.”
“Thank you. I’ll stay here, so please go get some rest. Oh—and once daylight comes, I intend to take her back to her home. Do you think that’s alright?”
“Of course. Once she’s moved to a more comfortable place, I’ll come visit her.”
She nodded and thanked him once more. As the physician turned to leave, she called him back.
“By any chance, were *you* the one who moved me to this room?”
“Sir?”

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
