“How did you get here?”

Ji Hyeok smiled. It was his usual bright smile, but somehow it felt chilling.

Yeoreum’s mind tangled in confusion.

Even before Taeseok had told her, she’d already sensed that Ji Hyeok liked her. Things had seemed strange ever since the day he’d rushed over during filming just because she was crying.

Ji Hyeok didn’t have filming scheduled today—why was he here? Besides, this pension that Taeseok had booked separately was a location unknown even to the staff.

An empty pension with no one around. A desolate seaside. As much as she hated to admit it, the situation felt unpleasant and even frightening.

Ji Hyeok spoke without releasing the arm he’d grabbed hold of.

“How long are you planning to keep up this contract relationship with Hyung Taeseok?”

A strong gust of wind blew. The scarf she’d loosely draped around her neck slipped off and fell to the ground. Ji Hyeok glanced at it briefly but didn’t move, and though Yeoreum tried to pick it up, he wouldn’t let go.

“Let go of that. Give me back my scarf.”

“Answer me first.”

His tone was oddly forceful.

If possible, she’d wanted to talk in a more comfortable atmosphere.
