The Season of Prettiest You (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 47
Taeseok nearly shouted in his urgency, but Manager Hong was brimming with calm.
“Hey. Yelling won’t make the traffic light change faster. Ease up a bit.”
“You’re just walking too slowly.”
“Alright, alright, I got it.”
Then, out of nowhere, he sank into nostalgia and began recounting old memories. He brought up how many years it had been since he’d actually seen K in person and dredged up high school stories that Taeseok had zero interest in.
“We three were closest during sophomore year. You two fought for first and second in the whole school, while I battled for dead last. My mom back then actually hoped my grades might improve a bit thanks to you guys—but I was a man of strong principles, so I absolutely refused to let that happen.”
“I get it—just step on the gas already.”
At Taeseok’s nagging, Manager Hong chuckled softly.
“Anyway, that guy really is something—quitting a big, successful corporation to become a hacker. A white-hat hacker, sure, which sounds kind of cool, but still… it couldn’t have been easy to hand in that resignation letter.”
Taeseok only glared in silence, lost entirely in thoughts of Choi Yeoreum. Why had Ji Hyeonjeong even asked to meet her? What had they talked about? He was so anxious he thought he might die, terrified that Yeoreum’s heart might have been hurt.
“Still, the fact that K’s stepping up to help you shows he’s got serious loyalty. He doesn’t forget kindness. Back in high school, you helped him so much—feeding him when he was too poor to afford meals and studying together in cram sessions.”
“Did I?”
For some reason, his mind wouldn’t settle, making it impossible to properly respond.
“Do you think K would call you the benefactor of his life for no reason? By the way, that guy’s already a building owner? Damn, I’m jealous.”
Both of them remembered K’s first office—a shabby little shop of about ten pyeong at the very end of a run-down electronics market, with a very old sign that read, “Computer Repairs Available.”

After Being Cheated On, She Picked Up a Treasure (Female-dominant)
One-line summary: The husband I married on a whim had been secretly in love with me for a long time.
On the day when Jun Shao finally obtained the imperial decree for her marriage, Lan Qu, the person she had admired for six years, defied the decree and ran away.
Her gentleness and devotion, her promise of a lifetime together, were all disregarded by him. Instead, he dreamed of entering the palace to serve the Emperor’s sister as a sixth-rank attendant.
News of this incident spread throughout the capital, and the alleys in front of and behind the Lan mansion were crowded with people who came to watch the commotion.
Jun Shao should have been embarrassed and angry.
But someone stepped in to protect her dignity.
The figure was in a miserable state, yet still possessed an undeniable elegance and handsomeness.
The young lord struggled to climb the wall of the Lan mansion and shouted to her, “If he won’t marry you, I will!”
So, Jun Shao took advantage of the situation and married the person.
She thought the young lord did it to save the Lan family from the crime of defying the imperial decree, but never imagined that from beginning to end, what he coveted was her.
*
After the wedding, Jun Shao felt like she was living in a dream.
Her Wife-master was as beautiful as a fairy in a painting, skilled in the six arts, well-versed in poetry and literature, capable of being gentle and attentive, and also grand and dignified. Most importantly, she was the only one in his heart and eyes.
Jun Shao didn’t know how Lan Shiwu, as a illegitimate son without a father and blessed with beauty, had managed to preserve his purity, recklessly escape, and use his last ounce of strength to ruin his own reputation, all because of his love for her, just to stand before her.
She could only see him gazing at her with eyes full of love, and when she bestowed a name upon him, his eyes shone like stars.
“You have come to me like a weary bird perching on a branch. I shall call you A Qi.”
