Yeoreum arrived at the production company’s office. Taking public transportation turned out to be faster than expected. She entered the meeting room first to prepare for the meeting. She laid out scripts for each seat and opened the blinds. The dreary meeting room brightened instantly.
As she took a few moments to catch her breath, staff members began to arrive.
“Writer Yeoreum, you’re here early.”
“Hello.”
“You look so pretty today. You look like a college student, Writer Yeoreum.”
Yeoreum smiled faintly at the assistant director’s compliment. She wasn’t sure how to respond.
She had just dressed normally but received compliments. All she did was tie her hair up and wear a shirt dress. It was probably just a polite remark, but saying ‘thank you’ felt somewhat embarrassing.
“Writer Yeoreum looks really young today.”
Someone else chimed in. Being the topic of conversation made her feel even more self-conscious. Yeoreum smiled awkwardly again.
“Writer Yeoreum is introverted.”

“…Yes. A little.”
She hadn’t always been like this. When she received compliments, she used to return them with bigger ones, or laugh out loud, showing all her teeth.
She felt she had never been introverted, but recently she often heard such comments. She knew she had become excessively timid after the breakup with Taeseok.
Their separation had robbed her of so much.
She resolved not to lose anymore. She wanted to shake off all the scars related to Taeseok and start a new life, boldly loving her own life even more. Yeoreum had plans to cherish her life more dearly.
The meeting started as soon as Producer Kim of the production company took his seat.
“Cheon Ji-hyeok is confirmed for the male lead, and Yu Young is the first choice for the female lead? She’s a former center of a girl group, right?”
“Yes. She scored the highest in the open auditions. We’re limited in our casting options due to budget constraints, so Yu Young is a good choice. She has a big fan base. A bit weak in acting, though.”
Everyone nodded at the sharp analysis of the assistant director. Then, gathering her courage, Yeoreum spoke up.
“Yu Young’s acting has improved a lot. She’s been studying acting. She’ll be different from her previous work.”

“Oh. How do you know that, Writer?”
“She’s a close junior of mine. We live together.”
Girl group LovelyRose had been notorious for internal conflicts. Throughout their activities, Yu Young had been a victim of one-sided bullying, leading to the group’s eventual disbandment. That’s when Yeoreum, about to break up with Taeseok in three months, ended up living with Yu Young.
They were supposed to live together for just a month, but for some reason, they were still together, forming a soul-sister bond.
“Isn’t the secondary lead, Lee Bora, also from LovelyRose? Will that be okay? There were rumors of discord between them.”
She couldn’t honestly say they were at each other’s throats.
“There were some issues in the past.”
Director Lee Hong-seok thought for a moment and then nodded.
“Let’s use that. Our drama lacks buzz among the actors, so let’s capitalize on this. Two former girl group members playing best friends sounds good. Just make sure they don’t fight. Got it, Writer Choi?”
Yeoreum, with a hesitant smile, assured that she understood.

With a refreshed mood, Taeseok leisurely drove along the national highway. He was pleased that things were going according to plan.
On reflection, the only thing in his life that had gone against his plans was Choi Yeoreum, and now he felt quite satisfied thinking he could rectify even that.
He could have immediately confronted her to hash out the past and force an apology, but that would have been mere venting. Such an approach wouldn’t compensate for the last two years.
He had to make her pay a more severe price. Preferably by ruining the drama.
Whatever it takes, he would make her cry and despair. He intended to break her arrogance that everything in the world revolved around her. She needed to understand clearly whom she had dared to provoke.
The weather was nice.
After several days of scorching heat, the morning air was refreshingly cool today. He felt the urge to roll down the window and take in a deep breath of fresh air.
‘Should I open it for a bit? Or not?’
As he tapped the steering wheel with his long, sturdy fingers, he gazed at the Han River. The morning sunlight sparkled on the water’s surface. What had Yeoreum called it?
She said it was like the Milky Way had been released. That jewels were scattering down.

Back then, Taeseok had responded that it wasn’t the Han River but Choi Yeoreum that shone.
Instantly, his mood plummeted. Damn these memories that refuse to fade away. If only the bad ones remained. It was pathetic to have beautiful memories with a woman who ran away.
He hastily crumpled those emerging memories and focused on driving.
He decided not to open the window. Being photographed was fleeting, and he didn’t want news of Taeseok’s whereabouts spreading on social media.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
