CEO Ji-hyeon Jeong irritably closed the door to her office.
‘What a headache this has turned into.’
With her arms crossed, she walked aimlessly, lost in thought.
‘How did they get entangled again after all the effort to separate them!’
While known for being a refined and elegant businesswoman, every moment for Ji-hyeon Jeong was like walking on thin ice due to Tae-seok. She had her own set of troubles, unknown to others, magnified several times.
She always kept track of whom Tae-seok was seeing, how deep the relationship was, and how long it might last. Outwardly indifferent, she was thoroughly informed behind the scenes.
She had preemptively ended a few relationships before they got serious. Recently, she was relieved that Tae-seok had no women in his life, but why again!
She had firmly believed that Tae-seok wouldn’t cross the line when he came to her office announcing Choi Yeoreum’s participation in the drama.
‘But calling her to his house every day!’
There was no mention of this even during the wine-drinking session a few days ago. Tae-seok seemed filled with anger toward Choi Yeoreum, ending the night ranting about her.

And yet, why invite her home?
‘It can’t be helped. I have to call her. I need to give her a stern warning again.’
The only person Ji-hyeon Jeong feared, or rather, didn’t want to be hated by, was Seo Tae-seok. So, she slightly shifted the direction of her anger.
Choi Yeoreum. That’s who she needed to press down.
She called her secretary, Kim.
“Madam CEO, did you call me?”
“Secretary Kim, bring Choi Yeoreum here. She can’t avoid it today. Hmm, tomorrow morning would be better.”
Ji-hyeon Jeong spoke irritably while checking her schedule. It was a baseless command, but Secretary Kim responded adeptly.
“Understood.”
Secretary Kim was Ji-hyeon Jeong’s shadow, never failing a command. She would certainly bring Choi Yeoreum to the office.

‘As expected. Hiring Secretary Kim was an excellent choice.’
Even amid her foul mood, she admired her efficiency.
[Star Icon]Yeoreum stared at her just-ended phone call.
Such a rude woman. This woman, whether in the past or now, hasn’t changed at all. If anything, her unchanging nature was chilling.
Secretary Kim, wasn’t it? Living a life according to Ji-hyeon Jeong’s commands might be impressive, but she could learn a thing or two about considering others.
What? ‘Follow quietly if you don’t want to regret’?
Yeoreum scoffed in disbelief.
Yet, she felt inclined to go. She had anticipated such a moment since she started visiting Tae-seok’s house. She knew Ji-hyeon Jeong wouldn’t just sit by knowing that Choi Yeoreum was meeting with Seo Tae-seok again.
‘She found out later than I thought. I expected her to notice in a day or two.’

She had to go. Yeoreum had her own words to say.
Two years had passed. She was no longer a mere job-seeking nobody but a respected main writer of a drama. Many production company CEOs treated her with respect, pushing actor profiles her way. She didn’t expect such treatment from Ji-hyeon Jeong, but she planned to use this opportunity to receive an apology for how she was previously treated.
‘I won’t be pushed around anymore.’
With that resolve, Yeoreum stood up.
Secretary Kim’s car was waiting outside. Just like its owner, the car had no flexibility. It was impeccably neat without a single decorative item.
Even a brand-new car wouldn’t be more believable. Just like two years ago, Secretary Kim’s image hadn’t changed a bit.
The two drove silently to HJ Planning.
[Star Icon]In the silent CEO’s office.
As memories of the past flashed through her mind like déjà vu, a strange tension spread through Yeoreum’s body. However, that was it; she wasn’t trembling like she used to. The current Choi Yeoreum was a vastly different person from her past self.
‘What was so scary back then?’

Yeoreum waited for Ji-hyeon Jeong with a bitter smile. Soon, the door to the CEO’s office opened, and Ji-hyeon Jeong entered. Clad in a suit that clung to her body and heavy makeup, she was always a sensual woman.
“It’s been a while, CEO Ji-hyeon Jeong.”
“That it has. Regrettably, we meet again.”
Ji-hyeon Jeong sat down across from Yeoreum with a gentle expression. Secretary Kim quickly brought in coffee.
“Tae-seok caused a mess with that drama. I tried to stop him, but he has to listen for it to matter.”
Ji-hyeon Jeong started speaking while bringing the cup to her red lips. Yeoreum noticed that Ji-hyeon Jeong had scanned her from head to toe, seemingly pleased with her evaluation.
Regretting her casual attire, Yeoreum glanced down at her simple jeans and shirt.
‘Well, it doesn’t matter. I didn’t come here for a fashion duel.’
Ji-hyeon Jeong continued.
“Don’t fall for Tae-seok’s tricks. Remember our deal?”

Deal. Was it really a deal? Yeoreum clenched her fists under the table and coldly brought up the words she had prepared.
“Did you call me here just to say that?”
Ji-hyeon Jeong was momentarily at a loss for words. Yeoreum seized the opportunity to continue.
“I thought you called me to apologize.”
“What?”
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
