“Hong, arrange a meeting with Director Lee.”
Tae-seok shook his head, as if to dispel his thoughts. It seemed he needed to ponder more about Yeoreum.

Leaning back leisurely, Tae-seok spoke again.
“Find a way to make time. Otherwise, I’ll only appear as ‘Supporting Lee Hyun-jun’ as originally planned in the script. Starting from episode 5 and disappearing shortly after.”
Director Lee’s mind seemed to race with thoughts of all the advertisements and PPL deals at stake. Tae-seok hoped he would think hard about the financial aspect.
“Ads are attached in a huge amount. I wonder if the station will give that up.”
“I’ll have to discuss it with the station director.”
Director Lee wiped his forehead with a handkerchief. Tae-seok smiled again.
“I hope the discussion goes positively.”
“A month, though. That’s going to be tough.”
“There are special broadcasts, you can extend the episodes of ongoing dramas. Come on, we both know there are ways if you really want to make it happen.”
Tae-seok was getting ready to leave the cafe when he drove his point home.
“I won’t act with a rushed script. Please make a clear decision and let my manager know by today.”
As Tae-seok stood up, curious glances quickly converged on him. Someone even pulled out a camera, but Hong, his manager, calmly intervened. Tae-seok nodded politely and left the cafe.
Feeling good that things would go his way, he got into his car with a smile, not bothering to hide it. Hong shook his head in disapproval, and Tae-seok picked up his phone.
He called her.
A perfect plan to have Yeoreum rewrite the script at leisure, thus keeping her tied to him, had just come to mind. He was certain of winning time today and planned to call her to his place to discuss it. But the call went unanswered.
‘She’s not picking up my call?’
Tae-seok’s smile faded as he dialed again, only to be met with another missed call.
[Answer the phone.]After sending a message, he tapped his phone thoughtfully. He was bothered. Why wouldn’t she answer at this hour? It couldn’t be a sudden act of defiance.
‘Cheon Ji-hyeok.’
He suddenly remembered the caller from yesterday on Yeoreum’s phone.
“We agreed to go volunteering tomorrow, so it might be about that.”
Tae-seok’s expression hardened. He couldn’t believe he had forgotten that.
