“Between just Madame Regas and me, we could have handled it easily. I was truly heartbroken when I heard she had taken ill.”

Madame Regas and Ferine were completely flustered as they rushed to catch up on all the news.

Even though the matter was already over, the way these two women raged so passionately made them seem rather endearing to Elaina, who smiled faintly.
