Before the window bathed in moonlight.

Rozé, perched on the windowsill, leaned her face against one knee and gazed up at the sky. It was a clear night, not a single cloud in sight.

In her left hand, she held an invitation that had arrived earlier that day. Pressed onto the white paper was a dried lily of the valley, through which she could sense the sender’s heartfelt care.

Rozé alternated her gaze—once at the blank sky, then again at the invitation in her hand—before quietly murmuring,

“The wedding of Lady Roman and Duke Cheiser…”

The invitation Rozé held was none other than the wedding announcement for Lady Roman.

Given that this union joined two of the Empire’s most esteemed families, the guest list would rival even an imperial wedding in scale.

The reason an invitation had reached her as well was surely not out of genuine desire for her attendance, but merely a formality.

Soon after, as if her interest had vanished, Rozé tossed the invitation onto the table.
