The Returned Father of My Child (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 42
Bo Mi wanted to lash out at Su Young, who was unusually stubborn, and words of blame rose up to her throat—but she forced them down.
Watching the three men, Bo Mi realized she was the one who most wanted to run away from this situation. It was hard to side with any of them. Although she felt Jae Kyung was the best choice to play the dad role, she couldn’t simply ignore the other two who’d made time on a Saturday just to attend.
In the past, only one of Bo Mi or Mi Rae had ever attended events at the daycare.
This was the first time so many people had gathered just for Yeo Reum.
Why did Yeo Reum—why did Mi Rae—go and invite all these people!
“Um… I’m sorry.”
A teacher from the daycare stood before Bo Mi, who was lost in thought, and the three quarreling men. Behind the teacher, Yeo Reum and two other children peeked out nervously.
“Yeo Reum!”
Startled by Yeo Reum’s appearance, Bo Mi reached out her hand. Had she been hurt badly enough for the teacher to bring her over?
“Mommy!”
Yeo Reum smiled brightly and ran into Bo Mi’s arms.
“Our boy didn’t cry even after falling and danced so well—so cool.”
“It didn’t hurt. Not at all.”
Yeo Reum puffed out her chest proudly. Her knee stung a little, but this was nothing. Compared to being teased that her mom was a bad person and that she was a liar, this tiny wound didn’t hurt at all.
“Teacher, does this kind of thing happen often?”

He looked up at her, his eyebrows drooping: “My hand… has no strength.”
“Shall I… feed you?” she asked tentatively.
He opened his mouth cheerfully: “Ah—”
Thinking she was drowning, he jumped in without hesitation to save her, but nearly drowned himself. In the end, it was she who swam over to rescue him, giving him air underwater.
After emerging from the water, his ear tips turned red. He lightly brushed his cheek, tucking his sideburns behind his ear, revealing delicate, pink-tinged ear tips. He lowered his gaze, too embarrassed to look at her.

Ga Jin is such an interesting character. If FL had been friends with him, she might have had an even more terrible childhood because of Mrs. Hwang. But he’s exactly the type of person who could be a friend or family member.
