As the bride, Elin was left alone in the hall, and she had to deal with people alone, explaining that the Second Prince had returned in a hurry.

“Belia Veronica. Everything is because of that woman. If only she wasn’t there…”

Elin not only witnessed Raul and Belia kissing but also confirmed that Raul still had feelings for her.

Just witnessing that was enough to ignite her anger, and she ended up ruining her own wedding.

“Your Highness is to become the Emperor. It might hurt inside on the wedding day, but endure it.”

“Father…”

Duke Kanteleif approached Elin, who was standing alone, and spoke coldly. However, Elin couldn’t bear it any longer.

Her clenched fist trembled. She couldn’t suppress her anger.

“…I’m so angry. I can’t take it anymore.”

“Elin.”

Duke Kanteleif warned Elin as she approached. However, Elin didn’t stop.

“Please kill that woman. I hope she disappears from this world. Send her somewhere my eyes can’t see, or just kill her! Please, Father, make sure I don’t become miserable because of that woman.”

“…Are you serious?”

“Yes. I’m serious.”

Elin’s eyes glowed brightly.

The figure of the Ronika royal family, proudly holding their heads high, was unbearable to see anymore.

This is not Ronika; this is the Ingot Empire. And in the Empire, the Duke of Kanteleif must demonstrate superiority.

“Utter the pitiful hometown’s name so that they can’t ignore the Duke of Kanteleif anymore. As we’ve joined hands with the First Prince, we have no choice but to treat the Second Prince as an enemy. Yes, I agree. Grant your request.”

“Thank you.”

With a bitter smile, Elin took a sip of the champagne in her hand. Then, she gazed briefly at the reception hall without her groom and proceeded to walk towards the First Prince’s palace, which would soon become her residence.

After the First Prince’s wedding ended, and the grand party was in full swing in the Imperial Palace banquet hall, Khaled quietly embraced Belia, who was exhausted from running barefoot, and returned to the Second Prince’s palace.

“…”

“Say something.”
Khaled sat on a chair, tightly embracing Belia in his arms. However, Belia remained silent, refusing to speak. Growing impatient, Khaled urged her again.

“Belia.”

“…What happened to Duke Elington?”

“Haha. Is this the first time you’ve brought up another man’s name?”

Khaled pulled Belia even closer.

“I thought you were dead.”

His tone was chilling.

“I believed you were alive, but if not, what would I have done? If you had really died as everyone said, what would I have done? Every day was unbearable.”

“I’m sorry.”

“I know there must have been reasons. You wouldn’t have hidden like that for no reason. But, truly…”

As if unable to continue, Belia bit her lips. Khaled, sensing her struggle, apologized once again.

“I’m sorry.”

It wasn’t an apology he intended to receive.

He just wanted her to understand how difficult it had been for him.

“You emerged from beneath a collapsed mountain, like a crumbling mountain.”

Belia, who uttered those words, shivered as if recalling a horrifying experience.

“Were you there?”

He felt her nod slightly through the skin that was touching.

“What happened?”

“You saved my life. Yours, mine, and the Marquis’s, all of us.”

As expected, he conveyed that the bracelet created through Habisa saved their lives.

Fortunately, the collapse didn’t reach the interior, so after hurriedly deploying the protective shield with the bracelet, everyone could evacuate.

“Everyone is grateful to you.”

Khaled continued the story nonchalantly.

Then he mentioned that there were those who insisted they must cross the mountain that day.

“Raul said we must pass through the Schpell region that day.”

“You must have suspected.”

“Yeah. We wondered if there was an ambush on our way. Even so, we didn’t expect a landslide.”

Although if someone had come to harm them, they might have resisted. It was a perfect opportunity to reveal the First Prince’s weaknesses.

So, even knowing it might be a trap, they followed their actions.

“Truly, if you hadn’t given me the bracelet, we wouldn’t have met again.”

Khaled kissed Belia’s neck several times.

“Khaled.”

“Yeah.”

“Raul is recovering memories of his past, like me.”

At Belia’s words, Khaled’s actions paused and stiffened.

“He called me the Empress.”

Smirking, Belia’s words made Khaled’s expression turn grim.

“If not for him, you would have been in danger. Also, Raul is responsible for the sudden mobilization of the Eastern nobles, forming an alliance.”

“…He regained his memory?”

In response to Khaled’s question, Belia turned her body to face him, meeting his gaze with an expectant look.

Khaled, for some reason, had a fearful expression.

Belia reached out and gently touched Khaled’s cheek.

The figure of Khaled, who was trembling with jealousy, afraid that she would go to Raul, crossed Belia’s mind. She smiled and reassured him.

“It’s okay. I won’t go to him, and he hasn’t fully regained his memories yet.”

Then, as if to comfort him, Belia lightly kissed Khaled.

“Belia.”

At Najik’s calling, Belia looked at him.

“Do you know how long I’ve come back to have you? You won’t know anything.”

Khaled turned Belia’s body to face him directly.

His gaze was deeply sunken.

“Do you know what it felt like when I lost you?”

“What are you talking about?”

Unable to understand, Belia asked in confusion.

Then, Khaled wiped his face once and spoke with a heavy voice.

“…I killed Raul.”

When male lead is the homewrecker

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!

The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.

Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.

The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.

I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.

There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.

For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.

I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.

Here’s the story synopsis:

One-line summary: She is his lifelong obsession, to the point where he was willing to be a third wheel, scorned by society, just to wedge his way into her relationship with her fiancé.

Cold-hearted and indifferent female lead + Scheming and subservient CEO male lead

Intro 1:

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

With blood trickling from his clenched fist, Rong Xiu gazed at the woman before him, his eyes clouded with anguish. Hidden in the wardrobe, he had witnessed Fan Xia – the woman he desperately loved – in an intimate embrace with her fiancé. Yet his heart still yearned for her, defying all reason.

Fan Xia, the elegant and composed assistant, carried something mysterious in her eyes whenever she looked at her fiancé, Wen Lan Sheng. Strange occurrences began to surface – secret meetings with the young Gu Jin Yi, an unexplained withdrawal of 5,000 yuan… Then suddenly, her fiancé’s sister, Wen Jing, violently attacked her.

In this matriarchal society, Rong Xiu had risen to become the chairman of a powerful healthcare conglomerate, breaking through gender prejudices. But for the first time, he willingly stepped into the shadows as the other man, disregarding his friends’ warnings to become her secret lover.

Because he had discovered the truth – Fan Xia wasn’t the pure angel everyone believed her to be. And perhaps, he was the only one capable of helping her execute her mysterious plan…

Intro 2:

Rong Xiu’s biggest regret in life was missing out on Fan Xia.

He secretly loved Fan Xia for 7 years.

Watched her go public with her boyfriend.

Watched her kiss her boyfriend at their wedding.

Until that man blissfully nestled in Fan Xia’s arms, obtaining everything he could only dream of.

The crazy jealousy stripped away his hidden secret love, layer by layer, burning like wildfire.

Fan Xia, how can I have you!
