Harold was scheduled to meet the Emperor of the Empire as the representative of the Kingdom of Ronica, so Belia went to the room with only Clozé.
As soon as they arrived in the room, Clozé looked around Belia’s staying room and exclaimed with admiration.
“Wow. Is this where you stay, Unni?”
It wasn’t extravagant, but there was nothing unimpressive from the furniture to the decorations.
“Indeed, it wouldn’t have suited here if that sculpture were present.”
Clozé said with a serious expression.
Belia, noticing that expression, burst into laughter.
“Are we still talking about that?”
Why does the conversation about that ugly sculpture never seem to end?
With a mischievous smile, Clozé, who seemed to have noticed Belia’s careful thoughts, said,
“…Still that story?”
Even though they exchanged frequent letters, meeting in person made them even happier.
“I missed you.”
“Me too.”

“Belia, it’s been a while.”
Clozé greeted Belia with a warm welcome, and they chatted like a family who hadn’t seen each other in a while.
“How have you been?”
“I’ve been well. What about you?”

“I’ve been well. What about you?”
“More importantly, what does it say there? Read it quickly.”
Even Clozé’s urgency was strange, and Derick, who sent the letter to Clozé, was also strange.
Belia pulled out the letter with an uncertain heart and began to read.
And there, unexpected stories were written.
‘…What?’
Belia looked at Clozé in astonishment.
“Why are you making that face…? What does it say?”
As if realizing something herself, Clozé, with a calm expression, finally glanced discreetly.
Seeing the still chubby Clozé, an involuntary sigh escaped.
Belia read the letter again, confirming it was catching fire, and threw it into the fireplace.
“Since when?”
“What?”
“You like Derick.”
“Is it written like that? That’s why you ran away.”
Clozé responded with a calm face.
The more Belia thought about it, the less she understood.
They seemed to get along well with the young aristocrats of Ronika!
Why Derick among so many people!
Finally losing her composure, Belia burst out again.
“You’re only sixteen now! You haven’t even had the coming-of-age ceremony!”
“I know. Who cares.”
“Derick is nine years older than you! He’s even older than me!”
Belia shouted in shock.
“It doesn’t matter. He’s younger than Herald Ora-brother. And when did people consider age when looking for a marriage partner?”
Clozé asked as if it wasn’t a problem.
“…I would get married if I had just had the coming-of-age ceremony.”
Belia was surprised to hear a small mumble.
“What?”
“No, nothing.”
Clozé quickly raised her head.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
