In front of Ji Wan, who had reverted to the cold, humorless, and emotionless man he was before meeting Do Um, Woo Seok never once accidentally let Do Um’s name slip.

“After the Osong Village site inspection, Senior Managing Director Kong Gi Hoon requests exactly one hour—no, just 30 minutes—of your time.”

Uncharacteristically hesitating and trailing off, Woo Seok earned a sharp rebuke from Ji Wan, whose eyes remained fixed on the documents.

“What is it this time? If he’s going to keep summoning me like this, he might as well tell me to clock in at the construction division.”

Only Gi Hoon could get away with repeatedly calling the CEO into the office.

“Again? President, I’ve already told you three times just this week that Senior Managing Director Kong is waiting for feedback. If you keep acting like this, I’ll get another earful from him.”

“Then go ahead and get scolded again. Didn’t we already settle that matter? We received all the open bids from the interior design firms and finished the PPT presentations, yet now a company wants to join at the last minute—what kind of conscience is that? “So you’re saying it’s all my fault they gave up their vacation?”

For the past several months they’ve worked without a single day off, and the only break they get is one week before the next project. The fact they made time to come here probably means they’re willing to take some responsibility for their mistake, don’t you think?”

Even after Woo Seok’s lengthy explanation, Ji Wan tilted his head and muttered to himself.

“Why is Team Leader Kong, who’s famous for separating business and personal matters so clearly, doing this? Does that firm have something on him? Look into Kong Gi Hoon’s background.”
