Eun Hyuk had long known that Do Um was walking alongside him the whole time.

He was just waiting patiently for the junior colleagues to notice and drop back.

Even amid the crowded throng, he keenly sensed Do Um’s presence above all.

Even without spraying the perfume that Jae Han bought him every birthday, the moment Do Um approached, the surrounding air changed distinctly.

Tapping the toes of his shoes against the ground as if something was stuck on them, Do Um’s full attention was elsewhere.

“I have a feeling I’m going to get proposed to today.”

Satisfied with the anklet he had fastened around her slender ankle, the corners of Eun Hyuk’s mouth drew a faint arc.

“Everyone, see you later.”

Eun Hyuk strode across the road toward Do Um on the opposite side, who hadn’t taken her eyes off the ground.

Only when a familiar pair of sneakers suddenly appeared at the toes of her own did Do Um finally look up.

“Did I interrupt?”

“What?”

“Your date with the junior colleagues.”

The smile spreading across his lips paid no mind to the obvious jealousy he must have heard moments ago.

“What date? If you were coming, you should’ve called—why follow like this?”
