The crisp sound of the freshly dried white bedding was pleasant to hear. The rustling sound as they spread and neatly arranged the sheets, smoothed the pillows, not only enhanced the atmosphere but also lifted their spirits. For a man who meticulously allocates every minute and second, a good night’s sleep was the only respite. At least that rest had to be perfect, so Help diligently moved his body even in less than favorable conditions.
“Oh my, Madam. What on earth is going on here!!”
The fingertips of the daughter-in-law, who came bustling in Busan, pointed across the yard under the hill, covering the central entrance.
“Reporters have filled the front gate, and I have no idea what’s going on…”
Upon hearing that reporters, who had never been seen even at the wedding, had set up tents in front of the house, Help’s face turned pale.
“Whatever happened, happened. But the team leader I wanted to contact isn’t responding, and I don’t know what to do!”
“Mr. Kim, please tell him to come in through the back gate. Not the main entrance.”
“And what about Madam?”
“I’ll have to wait until he contacts me.”
He.

Though she said ‘he,’ it was precisely Wooseok.
As always, it was Wooseok who represented his work, and among the many tasks to be solved by him, it was one.
After sending Mr. and Mrs. Kim away, Help took out her phone and scanned through the articles pouring in under the names of Seo Jiwan and Yoon Isol.
Last night, the departing figure of the man who told her not to wait came to mind. The urgent steps of the man who never seemed to hurry, the sharp sound of the engine that quickly left the garden.
Yoon Isol.
‘This woman has a name. Instead of calling her Isol, is calling her Seol an affectionate nickname between the two.’
An affectionate nickname.
A chilly feeling, as if a brisk wind was blowing through one side of the chest, was felt.
In the search bar, she typed Yoon Isol, three letters, and hesitated for a long time.
It was a dilemma.

‘Article 5, Duty Clause 3 of the contract. The agent shall not interfere in the privacy of the principal.’
“What are you doing, so pathetic.”
Erasing the name ‘Yoon Isol’ written in the green window and turning on loud music rather than the gently flowing music, Help, wearing an apron, headed to the kitchen.
Today, ambitiously, she planned to prepare Japanese cuisine.
When she had just marinated the salmon in soy sauce and spices, and had finished it with various vegetable toppings on rice, a message came from Wooseok.
[Before the president leaves, I will contact you.]Unlike usual, the fact that he substituted a message for a call seemed to indicate that the atmosphere there was unusual.
A call from Wooseok came not long after Mr. and Mrs. Kim left, about an hour later.
Just when she dipped the salmon into the sauce.
Madam, I’m here.
“Yes, Director Han.”

Are you surprised? It’s nothing special. It’s not something you worry about, especially.
Sometime in front of the potted plant delivered to the house, Wooseok had said similar words. That she didn’t have to worry.
In an unexpectedly toned-down voice, Help responded brightly.
“It’s okay; don’t worry about me. What should I do?”
Since the relationship was already established through a contract, Help skipped the lengthy explanations and only asked about the obligations she needed to fulfill.
“If you want, should I step out for a while? It seems like the reporters don’t know about the exit behind the garage….”
No, it’s not necessary. Just, as before, please do as you always do.
“Yes, understood.”
The response was concise and clear.
“…Is the president okay?”
President Jang called, and he is coming to Anseodong. As soon as he comes out, we will escort him to Hwan-dong.

It seemed to be true that Chairman Jang Ho-muk exercised the most significant influence throughout Bando, and the words were not entirely inaccurate.
The day he was urgently summoned to Anseodong.
Recalling the scene where Ki-hyuk and his wife knelt before the elderly, it seemed the same when the two leaders leading the company were summoned to bow their heads.
Did this man also kneel in front of his grandmother?
Did he apologize for some wrongdoing?
No, would he think that what I did was wrong?
Wiping her hands on the apron, as always, Help ascended to the garden grass.
Seeing the commotion outside the gate, the reporters still guarded the central entrance below the hill.
Since the entire house was lit up, the bright light would be clear even from below, and the figure of the wife waiting for her husband to return would undoubtedly be apparent.
Ziing.

As the door opened, Jiwan’s sedan was seen coming up.
Lifting the corners of her lips, Help gathered her hands neatly with a deep breath.
“Did you say to turn on all the lights?”
“There’s no way.”
Passing through numerous reporters, the garden that ascended was unusually bright.
Contrary to expectations that it would be dim to block external attention, the woman was standing in the usual spot, neatly folding her hands.
“Then, should I do this?”
“Oh, no way.”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
