With her vision suddenly darkened, Olivia peeked her face out from behind the documents and asked.
“What is it?”
Cryer held onto the sofa’s armrest, trapping her with both arms and looking down at her.
In normal circumstances, either the atmosphere would be throbbing red and the air would be rushing, or she would be screaming with her eyes wide open and her mouth agape.
However, Olivia was far from normal.
Being regressed four times distanced her from normality by a billion light years.
She glanced at the steellike arm that trapped her and shook the documents, asking again.
“What is it, all of a sudden?”
Cryer, who had been looking down at her silently, opened his lips that had been tightly closed.
“You reached out your hand earlier but pulled it back.”

“Earlier? Me?”
Confused by the sudden question, Olivia rolled her eyes and shut her mouth.
Although it was clear she was avoiding the answer, Cryer had no intention of backing down.
How long had Olivia been avoiding Cryer’s gaze?
She mumbled softly.
“Just, my hand moved.”
And of course, Cryer did not miss that whisper as small as an ant’s crawl.
“Just?”
“Yes. Just……”
It wasn’t an answer to anything, but that was all she could say.

She didn’t reach out with any particular thought or intention.
Cryer, looking down at Olivia’s round forehead hidden behind the documents, smiled faintly.
She had said the same when she first reached out to him.
“I don’t know, my hand just moved.”
In some ways, it was quite consistent.
Cryer didn’t dig deeper and brought up another topic.
“Do you not get surprised now?”
Olivia, who casually brushed the documents aside, touched her heart.
“That’s right. I think I’m getting used to it now.”
Her heart was not pounding as violently as before, nor did it feel like it was falling or popping out of her mouth.

While looking at him attentively, Olivia said as if she realized something new.
“You’re ridiculously goodlooking.”
At her straightforward words, there was a faint sigh, and Cryer’s eyebrows twitched.
“Ridiculously?”
“Yes. Useless.”
Despite her ruthless evaluation, Cryer showed no signs of disappointment or anger.
“That’s a first.”
“Being handsome?”
“No. Being ridiculous and useless.”
“What, you knew you were handsome?”

“Well.”
“What is that vague answer?”
Truth be told, Cryer had never properly looked at his own face.
There was no need, nor any interest.
Only Greta, the daughter of the magician who resurrected him and branded him a slave of the ancient god, had gushed about him.
“You, chosen by God, are like a perfectly moving statue.”
Olivia narrowed her eyes and scrutinized the silent Cryer.
She had never thought about his appearance when she faced him.
Before regression, facing him meant death, so it was pointless to care about his appearance.
Even after regression, she was only full of thoughts to catch Cryer and stop the war, so she had no time to look at his face.

From his smooth forehead where silver hair naturally flowed down to his sharp jawline.
“No wonder the princess fell for you at first sight, or there are rumors about you being a concubine.”
Olivia, with a deep crease between her brows, grumbled discontentedly.
“If your face wasn’t ridiculously goodlooking, the rumor that you were taken to the side at a glance for your skills would have been spread… skills?”
As Olivia was flowing with her stream of consciousness, she abruptly stopped talking and blinked her eyes rapidly.
As she blinked, a plan was perfectly falling into place in her head like a cogwheel.
“Cryer.”
A smile spread on Olivia’s lips as she called him, a smile that could never be described as innocent even if her mouth were torn apart.
And Cryer, who was facing her headon, responded with a snicker.
“What’s with that vile smile?”

“Vile? How rude… Hm, hm.”
At Cryer’s words, Olivia scowled, soon trailing off her words while fiddling with her lips. Because the vilification was too clear to deny.
Olivia pressed hard on Cryer’s chest.
“Step aside for a moment.”
Cryer obediently freed her, and as soon as he sat down on the sofa across, Olivia also sat straight.
“You said you’re getting stronger, right?”
“Yes.”
“So how far are you now? No, is there a knight in the empire who can defeat you now?”
Olivia’s eyes sparkled.
Even a passing duke bird would know that she was asking a question with a predetermined answer, but Cryer only gave a realistic answer without hesitation.

“I can’t be sure because I don’t know all the knights of the empire.”
At that, Olivia sank her raised shoulders and leaned her back on the sofa.
“Aren’t you supposed to say that no one can defeat me at times like this?”
“Do you want me to lie unnecessarily?”
“Don’t take it seriously. Hmm.”
Olivia, fumbling for her pen, quickly drafted a list and handed it over.
“Try sparring with these people here. I’ll let them know in advance.”
Cryer glanced over the list without a response.
Olivia, who had been watching him intently, narrowed her eyes and leaned forward.
“Just in case.”

“I won’t kill.”
At the instant response, Olivia exclaimed.
“Were you thinking of killing?”
To that, Cryer merely shrugged.
“I’ve never had a chance to suppress someone without killing them since this happened.”
‘This’ he referred to must be related to the mark engraved on his collarbone that he was unconsciously fiddling with.
“The ancient god wants blood…you said.”
At the heavily sinking words of Olivia, Cryer rather responded with a short laugh.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
