Every now and then, just when people were about to forget, her name would slip in among attention-grabbing headlines, and each article inevitably ended with some mention of Tae Jo.

Yet, for some reason—maybe because Se Kyung had readily admitted the truth, or perhaps because follow-up reports on other outrage-inducing scandals like drugs or drunk driving had diverted public anger—the comments on her articles had grown notably tamer than before.

Occasionally, there were still spiteful remarks like “Let’s see if she’s really doing well” or “They’ll probably divorce soon,” but after having seen the earlier, viciously harsh comments, those now barely registered as hurtful.

Moreover, since announcing her pregnancy, she and Tae Jo had stopped fully covering their faces during hospital visits or walks, so sightings of the two occasionally popped up on social media and online communities.

“Se Kyung, are you really taking all this with you?”

At the sound of her name, Se Kyung hurried into the room.

Yoo Na was packing up her things in the walk-in closet. Hanging where she pointed were figure-hugging dresses and jeans.

“No, just leave those. I think this much is enough for now. If I need anything else, I can always come back for it later. Are you hungry? I’ve got everything ready to grill some meat.”

“Is it already time to eat? But Je Hoon hasn’t arrived yet.”

“True. He should be here any minute now.”

No sooner had they spoken than the doorbell rang—ding-dong! Seeing Je Hoon’s face on the intercom, Se Kyung immediately dashed to open the door.

“Looks like Je Hoon’s finally learned some manners.”

Yoo Na, following behind, called out to Je Hoon as he stepped into the entrance.
