Se Kyung’s schedule started from the morning. She shot a short promotional video for the internet, then completed an interview with Writer Gong in the afternoon.

“You’ve been swamped lately, haven’t you?”

After the reporter left and only the two of them remained in the meeting room, Writer Gong spoke.

It wasn’t merely a comment meant to address drama promotions. She’d refrained from directly naming the person causing trouble—knowing it wasn’t a pleasant topic for Se Kyung—but was delicately asking whether she’d been emotionally burdened by Lim Ju Hee.

“A little. Writer Gong, you must’ve been surprised too, right? That negative article came out right before the broadcast.”

“Compared to you, it was nothing. Though I was startled—it was so unexpected—I knew the Se Kyung I know isn’t someone like that.”

Writer Gong took a sip of coffee and continued.

“So just ignore PD Cha blabbering on childishly about noise marketing and such. Even if he talks that way, he actually worried a lot about you.”

“I know. He said that because he was thinking of me. After that article came out, I felt guilty for causing unnecessary trouble, but hearing him say that actually made me feel a bit better.”

“I’m glad you took it that way. Honestly, PD Cha can be a bit dramatic sometimes—even when his intentions are good, people occasionally misunderstand him.”

Writer Gong subtly criticized PD Cha while defending him at the same time.

“You two said you were college classmates, right?”

“Yeah. It’s a disgustingly long-standing connection. Who would’ve guessed that after graduating, I’d end up working with that guy?”

Although she said that, no team matched their chemistry better. They’d already worked together on two projects, both of which had become huge hits.
