Se Kyung sat in the waiting room next to the hotel banquet hall, fiddling with her phone.

About 20 minutes before the drama’s production press conference was set to begin, Tae Jo replied to Se Kyung’s message asking where he was.

[I’ve just left Cheongdam-dong. I should arrive around the time the press conference starts. Director Song is there too, right?]

Se Kyung lifted her gaze and looked at the two people in front of her. Usually accompanied only by Manager Shin, today Director Song had joined Se Kyung’s schedule as well.

“Hmm? What is it? Do you need something?”

When their eyes met, Director Song asked, crunching on a snack. Se Kyung shook her head, saying it was nothing, and lowered her eyes back to her phone.

[Yes. She’s here with me right now. Please wait in the waiting room when you arrive, and drive safely.]

Se Kyung hit send after typing her message. Just then, Manager Shin—who had been sharing snacks with Director Song—spoke up.

“Why did you come today, Director Song? You usually don’t follow the actors’ schedules.”

“I have business here. Besides, I’m not the only one coming. The CEO will be here later too.”

“The CEO too?”

Manager Shin’s eyes widened dramatically at the mention of Tae Jo’s arrival.

“What? Unnie, is something going on?”

Je Hoon quickly turned to look at Se Kyung. With both Director Song and CEO Jin attending the press conference, he seemed to suspect some incident had happened without his knowledge.

“It’s nothing serious. The CEO has a dinner appointment with PD Cha and Writer Gong.”
