After snatching the card from Tae Jo as if stealing it, Ye Ryung moved to the restaurant with Se Kyung.

Of course, Tae Jo couldn’t come along.

Not only had Ye Ryung given him a look telling him not to follow, but Managing Director Kang had also come looking for Tae Jo, saying they needed to hold a meeting.

“How’s the food? Does it suit your taste?”

“Yes, it’s delicious.”

Se Kyung twirled some pasta and popped it into her mouth. Probably because she’d had morning sickness from the bouillabaisse smell last time, Ye Ryung hadn’t ordered anything with seafood at all when placing their meal.

“Have some of this too.”

Ye Ryung pushed the steak she’d cut into bite-sized pieces toward Se Kyung.

“Director, you should eat too.”

“I’m fine. I ordered this for you, Se Kyung. Remember, you couldn’t finish it all last time at Blanc and left some behind.”

So Ye Ryung gestured for her to eat quickly. After a brief hesitation, Se Kyung picked up a piece of meat and ate it, prompting Ye Ryung to smile contentedly.

“Well, first of all, I’d like to apologize to you, Se Kyung. It wasn’t out of ill intent that I didn’t mention I’m Tae Jo’s sister-in-law. I just worried you’d feel awkward around me if I told you outright. Honestly, I was just curious about what kind of person you are.”

Se Kyung swallowed the meat in her mouth.

She had to admit—if she’d known Ye Ryung was Tae Jo’s sister-in-law from the start, she probably would’ve been more self-conscious even over small things like earlier. Truthfully, even now, she didn’t feel entirely at ease in this situation.

“I understand what you mean. But there’s something I’m curious about too.”
