“Thank you for the wonderful dinner tonight.”

Having finished his meal, Tae Jo prepared to head home. Se Kyung and Jung Ran followed him to the front door to see him off.

“No, not at all. We just added one more rice bowl to what we were already eating. It’s almost embarrassing to call it hospitality. If I’d known you’d be coming, I would’ve prepared more food.”

“It was plenty generous, and the food was delicious as well. Next time, if the opportunity arises, let me treat you somewhere else.”

“Yes, I’d love to see you again sometime. By the way, since you’ve had some alcohol, you probably can’t drive. What should we do about that?”

“It’s fine. I’ll just walk slowly.”

“Oh dear, now I feel bad for having offered you drinks…”

Jung Ran subtly turned her head and gently poked her daughter’s side, who had been standing quietly beside her. Startled, Se Kyung looked back at her mother, who gave her a meaningful glance—clearly urging her to go out and see Tae Jo off.

“Well then, I’ll be off.”

“Oh, come out with me.”

Faithfully obeying her mother’s silent instruction, Se Kyung stepped out the front door alongside Tae Jo.

She’d expected him to tell her not to bother coming, but Tae Jo merely bowed slightly to Jung Ran in farewell and didn’t try to stop Se Kyung from following him.

“Will you really send someone tomorrow like you said?”

Standing before the elevator, Se Kyung asked Tae Jo.

“I’ll check other people’s schedules first.”
