The following day. Su Hee went to the hospital according to her appointment time for the treatment.
In case the reporters might recognize her if she drove her own car, she chose to take a taxi.
She thoroughly hid her face with a black hat and a white mask.
When Su Hee got off the taxi, she turned her back as people flowed out of the building.
Only after people had passed by Su Hee did she enter the building and got on an empty elevator.
Su Hee who had pressed the 7th floor, where the psychiatry department was, took a spot in the corner of the elevator.
The elevator went straight to the 7th floor without stopping once.
Only then Su Hee, feeling relieved, let her shoulders drop and went into the hospital.
As she had booked in advance, a hospital staff guided her directly to the counseling room.
“Miss Oh Su Hee, it’s been a while.”
The doctor greeted her by adjusting his glasses as the door opened.

She had always come to the consulting room with a heavy heart, but for some reason, she felt somewhat relieved that day.
Probably because it was the only place where she could pour out her innermost thoughts.
“Hello, doctor.”
As Su Hee sat on the sofa, the doctor took the patient chart and sat on the chair opposite her.
“It’s been two weeks since Miss Oh Su Hee last visited the hospital. You would have finished your medication, did your symptoms disappear?”
Su Hee shook her head with a heavy expression.
“No. The symptoms worsened as soon as I stopped taking the medication. I’ve vomited several times too.”
“So, it wasn’t because your symptoms had improved that you didn’t come to the hospital, but there was another reason?”
There was nothing to hide, so Su Hee revealed the truth.
“Someone saw me coming out of this building and spread rumors that I was pregnant. The reporters are still watching me, so I couldn’t come in all this while.”
“I see.”
The doctor had also heard about it as the internet was abuzz with Su Hee’s story.
Among the medications that Su Hee was taking, there were drugs that were toxic to pregnant women.
It could cause malformations or miscarriage, so if she was really pregnant, she would have consulted the doctor long ago.
“I might not be able to come for a while, so I want to get some medication in advance.”
Understanding Su Hee’s situation, the doctor immediately wrote down the medications for her to take.
“The medications that Miss Oh Su Hee is taking can only be prescribed for a maximum of one month. Is that okay?”
At this point, Su Hee had no place to back down.

If she could live normally for at least one month, that would be a relief.
She decided to put off the next step for a while.
“That’s okay. Please give me a prescription for a month.”
“I’ll do that.”
The doctor, removing his pen from the chart, conveyed his worries.
“Merely taking medication won’t improve things. You need to seek counseling and unravel the knot that Ms. Oh Su Hee is currently holding. That is the real solution.”
She was well aware.
That reducing symptoms with medication was just a temporary fix.
Leaving it as is would one day lead to the lump in her chest devouring her. She knew that well.
“The best solution in this situation is for Ms. Oh Su Hee to open up to someone she can lean on.”
“…….”
“Even if not all at once, little by little.”
Knowing this, yet leaving the cruel ember to grow.
The fear of receiving scorn from people when the truth is revealed is why.
Even her beloved younger sister built walls against Su Hee since that incident.

Even her bloodrelated family could not forgive her, could strangers truly understand her?
That those still by her side haven’t turned away.
That was why Su Hee kept her secret buried.
“I have no one to tell. No one.”
Her tightly closed lips seemed like they would never open.
The doctor who has been counseling her for 8 months was quite worried.
Su Hee, who has had a strong sense of independence since she was young, did not easily lean on anyone.
She said she had never brought up the conversation to others, even when she was struggling to death.
It wouldn’t be surprising if the festering part burst tomorrow.
“Try to open up to the person Ms. Oh Su Hee trusts the most first.”
The person that immediately came to mind was Chul Yong.
However, she did not want to pass on her emotional burden to Chul Yong, who was caring for his ill mother.

“If the person cares for Ms. Oh Su Hee, they will never turn their back.”
Su Hee slowly nodded to the heartfelt advice.
Su Hee, who finished organizing at the desk, left the hospital.
As she met the eyes of the person exiting the elevator, she quickly lowered her gaze.
She could meet people while going down to the lower floor on the elevator, just like last time.
Fearing the same event as before, Su Hee chose the emergency stairs instead of the elevator.
Afraid of encountering others in the emergency exit, Su Hee’s steps going down the stairs quickened.
Su Hee, who had come down to the first floor without rest, opened the emergency exit door.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
