Anette never ended up wearing that dress, so exquisitely tailored like a work of art, on her wedding day.

The official cause was arsenic poisoning. Once it became known that the stunning green hue everyone once admired was actually a toxic substance, the capital erupted in chaos as people scrambled to remove anything green from their belongings.

“I hear all the green dresses in the atelier have been discarded because of me. I can almost hear the complaints of young ladies who loved green gowns all the way here.”

“But the white dress you wore instead has started a new wedding trend. Nowadays, wearing a white wedding gown has practically become tradition.”

Margarita, once considered a leading candidate for Crown Princess and who had joined the Northern campaign against the Demon King as the Temple’s representative, gave a bitter smile.

Two grand weddings—one in the North, one in the capital—had captivated everyone with their dazzling pure-white attire. Now, whenever someone married, they immediately sought out white silk.
