Ruela opened the game screen to check the time.
It was already past midnight. Since they’d been rushing nonstop until now, it seemed best to sleep in and rest well before departing tomorrow.
“How about leaving after lunch?”
“Is that alright? We shouldn’t fall too far behind everyone else.”
At Kite’s concern, Ruela smiled reassuringly.
“It’s fine. Let’s treat tomorrow morning as time to recharge. You’ve got a lot of work piled up, haven’t you? Aren’t you planning to go over those documents you couldn’t review with Mitchell right now?”
Kite’s eyes widened slightly in surprise before softening into a gentle curve.
“Newly appointed aides are coming tomorrow. I’ll just organize the tasks to assign them and then go to bed, so don’t worry.”
Hazen pouted and cut into the affectionate atmosphere between the two.
