In response to Senhwi’s words, people no longer opposed.

Even if there was a risk, they had to go get the information, which could solve the current strange phenomenon and questions about the children.

“Let’s switch seats and move again. Ruela, Tien, and I will take the children to the back seats. Mitchell, Raphael, and Senhwi, please attack from the car if monsters appear.”

Even if the car is fast, they couldn’t just run away without knowing how monsters attack.

So, it was best to inflict as much damage as possible on the monsters while moving, causing them to drop or die.

They quickly changed seats and set off again.

Did they run for about an hour?

As before, there was a strange noise, and something fell beside the van.

Checking the map, fortunately, they were far from the rear wagon.

Senroof and Tien opened the sunroof and windows. While long-range dealers were launching attacks, Ruela opened the chat window and asked the people behind if monsters had appeared.

“Senhwi was right. There seems to be nothing wrong with the carriage side.”

Senhwi, who was firing magic attacks through the open window, turned around with a satisfied expression.

“Look at that. I’m never wrong. I don’t talk about what I don’t know. By the way, this is quite interesting. I thought it was just a weird carriage running silently, but it’s surprisingly useful and practical. It might be good to attach windows to the ceiling of the carriage we ride. It makes it easier to attack.”

Even when they dealt with them alone, it wasn’t that difficult, but with the cooperation of Archmage Senhwi, the monsters couldn’t attack a few times and died.

“Aren’t you scared?”

Senhwi asked Chait, who had woken up at the noisy sound, looking fascinated.

“Yes, it’s fun. But who are you, Grandpa?”

“He’s your father’s teacher. You’ll be taught by him in the future.”

At Senhwi’s words, Chait shouted.

“Do you teach me how to make fire with my hands?”

“I think I should, but I need to find out what kind of child you are first.”

Chait seemed to be about to say something more, but Senhwi quickly turned his attention to Clotilde.

“This child is very quiet. He can cry and scream, but he’s too quiet. You must know that this is not normal, right?”

Kite and Ruela nodded without saying anything.

Senhwi, who had been looking at the two of them with a gloomy expression for a while, turned to Hazen.

“Step on it more. At this speed, it will take another 2 or 3 hours to arrive.”

“Do you take all this?”

“We won’t be able to come back here, so we have to take everything. Luckily, the door leading to the Prasot Institute from here is very close. With this carriage, it’ll take an hour.”

“It doesn’t seem like it will all fit in the van. What on earth did you collect?”
Hazan shook his head while looking at the piles of books and parchment.

“All important materials. Make sure to load everything without missing a single piece.”

“The horse you rode earlier was sent with the carriage. Are there other carriages?”

“No. There aren’t any. You have to somehow squeeze everything in.”

“It seems impossible to fit everything in the seating area. We can’t move it all at once.”

“I’ll take out the carriage. Let’s move all at once.”

Ruela pulled out the horse and carriage she had bought before in front of the van and said.

They had to leave quickly, but they couldn’t afford to go back and forth.

Even after summoning familiars to help move the luggage, an hour had passed when everything was done.

Not only was the carriage filled to the brim, but Raphaella also saw Rafaella sharpening her teeth while looking at the books filling the trunk and the floor under her feet.

Sitting uncomfortably on the stack of books on the seat, he grumbled.

“Is it really only an hour? I’ll break my neck if I stay longer in this uncomfortable position.”

“Even if it is, let’s hurry. We need to be quick because we don’t know when monsters will appear.”

At Senhwi’s urging, the group set off for their destination. Tien and Mitchell were going to ride the carriage loaded with luggage.

“Are there no monsters on this side? They’re not showing up.”

Even though it had been quite a while since they left, there was no sign of monsters.

“That’s not possible. Being so quiet is not a good sign. I hope nothing happens until we leave here. Please.”

Everyone’s expressions darkened at Senhwi’s concern.

They were all looking out the window with wary eyes when it happened.

Chait, who had been unfolding the scrolls that had come over from the front seat, said with a puzzled look.

“Why is my drawing here? Huh? This is Clotilde.”

“A drawing?”

When Ruela turned around, Chait held out a parchment.

“Look here. It’s me and Clotilde.”

At Chait’s words, Senhwi, who was in the front seat, turned his head.

“That is!”

Before Ruela could check, Senhwi, with a surprised face, took the parchment that Chait was holding.

“What is it? Why is there a drawing of Chait and Clotilde here?”

“I was going to show you later, but how did it end up going back there?”

When male lead is the homewrecker

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!

The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.

Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.

The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.

I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.

There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.

For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.

I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.

Here’s the story synopsis:

One-line summary: She is his lifelong obsession, to the point where he was willing to be a third wheel, scorned by society, just to wedge his way into her relationship with her fiancé.

Cold-hearted and indifferent female lead + Scheming and subservient CEO male lead

Intro 1:

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

With blood trickling from his clenched fist, Rong Xiu gazed at the woman before him, his eyes clouded with anguish. Hidden in the wardrobe, he had witnessed Fan Xia – the woman he desperately loved – in an intimate embrace with her fiancé. Yet his heart still yearned for her, defying all reason.

Fan Xia, the elegant and composed assistant, carried something mysterious in her eyes whenever she looked at her fiancé, Wen Lan Sheng. Strange occurrences began to surface – secret meetings with the young Gu Jin Yi, an unexplained withdrawal of 5,000 yuan… Then suddenly, her fiancé’s sister, Wen Jing, violently attacked her.

In this matriarchal society, Rong Xiu had risen to become the chairman of a powerful healthcare conglomerate, breaking through gender prejudices. But for the first time, he willingly stepped into the shadows as the other man, disregarding his friends’ warnings to become her secret lover.

Because he had discovered the truth – Fan Xia wasn’t the pure angel everyone believed her to be. And perhaps, he was the only one capable of helping her execute her mysterious plan…

Intro 2:

Rong Xiu’s biggest regret in life was missing out on Fan Xia.

He secretly loved Fan Xia for 7 years.

Watched her go public with her boyfriend.

Watched her kiss her boyfriend at their wedding.

Until that man blissfully nestled in Fan Xia’s arms, obtaining everything he could only dream of.

The crazy jealousy stripped away his hidden secret love, layer by layer, burning like wildfire.

Fan Xia, how can I have you!
