They headed to the location known as ‘Vincenti’s dwelling’ from the abandoned hunting ground. Unlike the previous day, where there was nothing, as soon as they entered the monster habitat today, lower-level monsters began to gather.

“I’ll take a pain reduction potion before we start.”

In the game, since characters didn’t actually experience pain, they didn’t use this potion much. Of course, the potion had the effect of reducing mental and physical damage received when consumed, but considering the materials that went into it, making and using defense or health potions was more beneficial in terms of efficiency.

However, here, they were making more pain reduction potions than any other. Since the people fighting alongside Ruella were not game characters but real individuals, there was a sincere wish for them to suffer less pain and injury.

Ruella opened the map and shared the location of ‘Vincenti’s dwelling’ that she checked on the strategy board. Kai’te, who estimated the general direction, emphasized before departure.

“We need to kill as minimally as possible and proceed. If the number of monster entities decreases beyond a certain point, it seems that people hired by Kur’an will appear and attack.”

Following his instructions, the group focused on sticking together and clearing the path as much as possible.
As they ventured deeper inside, the habitat became eerily quiet. Unlike other typical monsters, the monsters here approached and attacked silently, as if trying not to disturb the rest of the habitat’s owner.

“Over there, it seems like the place?”

Hazen, following Kai’te while repeatedly checking the map, pointed to a small hole in front of them.

“It seems so. Everyone, regroup and get ready to enter.”

Following Kai’te’s instructions, they received Tien’s buffs and consumed various potions that helped with attack and defense.

Now, it was heartwarming to see them automatically taking care of eating without having to be told.

Upon reflection, everything from their words and actions to the items they possessed… all of it must have been unfamiliar and frightening to them. Nevertheless, it was grateful that they accepted it without significant resistance.

“Alright, let’s go in. Make sure not to get hurt. Remember to focus on defense rather than offense.”

Following Kai’te’s signal, they entered. As expected, like most gatekeepers, the approaching monster was a giant with an enormous physique.

Ruella and Tien immediately stepped back and took their positions.

The giant approached with heavy footsteps, as if the cave was about to collapse. It swung its fist with a force that seemed capable of bringing down the cave.

“Ugh!”

With a single punch, Kai’te’s health visibly plummeted. The strength of the attack was more formidable than they had anticipated, leaving them bewildered.
“From the first one, it’s getting a bit scary with this much strength, isn’t it?”

Hazen tried to lighten the mood with a joke, but there was no response from anyone.

Ruella quickly shot a heal towards Kai’te. Perhaps due to leveling up in the meantime, Kai’te’s health noticeably increased.

As Kai’te’s health dropped again with another hit, Raphael, surprised, sprayed a potion on him and turned to him with a bright face.

“Now you really look like a healer?”

“Is that so? Until now, I felt more like a driver who takes you home.”

“As much as the attack is strong, the defense is weak. It seems similar to the grape field monster we saw before.”

Running around recklessly and attacking randomly, they were now analyzing monsters and devising countermeasures.

“If I go to the back and attack like before, it seems like it would inflict more damage. But going to the rear now might be dangerous, right?”

Mitchell turned slightly and asked while attacking.

“Yeah. This is the first named, after all. We don’t know what might suddenly come from behind.”

Hazen spoke while standing in the same direction as Mitchell.

Both using weapons and employing summoned beings, they were physical attackers, and attacking from the side or back was more advantageous than head-on.

“It’s different fighting outside than coming in.”

Raphael tried to distance himself as much as possible from Ruella and Tien, who were behind him, as he spoke.
“The space is narrow, and we can’t spread out freely. If we make a mistake, everyone could suffer from a single misstep.”

“The entrance is right in front. Can’t we take them out and fight outside?”

Tien asked while checking behind.

“No, we can’t. Named monsters return to their base if they move away, and everything resets.”

“What does it mean to reset?”

Kite, who was trying to bring the monsters out, asked as he resumed his position.

“It means the monsters we’ve been attacking and weakening return to their original state. While we’re injured and depleted of mana, everything reverts back.”

“Everything seems to favor the monsters.”

Once again, Kite’s blood drained at the monster’s attack. Startled, Ruella quickly used a defense shield, apologizing.

“Sorry. I shouldn’t have sent heals all at once.”
