Luella discovered that she had a problem with her memory just last night.
Common sense and knowledge remained, but only the memories of her life were gone, not a single fragment left, all vanished completely.
‘Damn…….’
Thanks to that, she was in a state of deep concern, having completely forgotten what life she had previously led.
She wondered what kind of life she had lived that people, whether at home or here, were avoiding her.
Even here, they were badmouthing her behind her back, as if to add insult to injury.
“How audacious. Where does she think this is, showing up like this?”
“It seems she knows that Master Balder and Lord Sedes went to the capital.”
Luella felt people’s gazes were too piercing. But she thought it wasn’t because she had lost her memory and become stupid, but rather because she deserved their scorn for the life she had lived.
She wondered why the maids were avoiding her as if they saw a ghost, and it was distressing that the same thing was happening at this party.

At home, it seemed like she belonged to a powerful faction, as everyone at least looked out for her, but here the situation was completely different.
She tried to pretend she couldn’t hear whatever they were babbling about. She really tried to, but…
“To avoid the two of them and show up, she must have a conscience. To do such a vulgar thing because her face is pale, tsk tsk.”
At the moment she heard these words, her reason was cut off, and before she knew it, she had approached the ladies and asked:
“Excuse me, madam… I would like to hear in detail what vulgar thing I have done, will you tell me?”
“Oh my, oh my my.”
She thought she had asked quite elegantly, but one woman couldn’t continue speaking and just gaped, while another glared at her with narrowed eyes.
“I’m astonished. Do you want us to tell you that? You should know your own business.”
Yes. It’s my business, so I should know.
…But I am in a state of memory loss right now? I really don’t know anything!

Unable to vent her frustration, she simply added:
“Well, the standard of vulgarity is different for everyone, isn’t it?”
She asked indirectly, but she was very curious. What had she done before? What horrendous act had she committed that wherever she went, people were glaring at her?
She approached her interlocutors with a friendly smile.
“So please, will you tell me?”
“Aaaaah!”
All she did was ask gently, as if to soothe them. Yet the ladies who had been gossiping about her, as if they had seen a ghost, screamed in terror and ran away.
At that reaction, the people who had been whispering about Luella were now openly pointing and glaring at her.
“Look at her, that young lady again…”
“Really, it’s getting tiresome.”

My only crime was asking a question… As the murmuring voices reached her again, frustration welled up.
‘No, what did I do?’
She tried to explain herself to other groups of people, but the reaction was the same everywhere. They all scattered like pigeons.
‘Wow…….’
The unfair treatment, as if she was being shunned without understanding why, nearly brought tears to her eyes. But she didn’t want to cry pitifully, and with a soft sigh, she finally decided to avoid people’s eyes and headed to the terrace.
Today was the second day since her memory had begun. Fortunately, the weather was very good. A cool wind on a night, faintly mixed with the scent of grass.
It must be late spring or early summer.
Taking a moment to enjoy the peaceful night scenery by herself and calm her mind, Luella shifted her gaze to check the square clock in front of her.
[PM 9:30]There was still an hour left until 10:30.

She didn’t really know why she had to be here until 10:30. But since the maid said that she absolutely couldn’t return before then, she was just going along with it.
‘Anyway, since I don’t have any memories, understanding the situation is the priority.’
So even if the maid was not particularly friendly to her, she decided to follow along if she had something to do.
She had come to the party wearing a dress as adorned without knowing the reason, but in fact she was still full of questions to the extent that she did not know what was what.
From yesterday to today, she had not encountered any person inside the house except the servants.
Now, the only people she could rely on were them, but she didn’t say that she had no memory. It was certainly not because they looked at her as if seeing a ghost. Just literally, some ‘sense’ was whispering that she should not casually talk about it. It was instinct.
So she calmly accepted the service from the strange maids, and even came to this party hall according to their words.
‘Will anything remind me…….’
Once again, she fumbled in her head, and suddenly she felt the silence of the ballroom through the opened door.
Wondering what happened, she listened and heard the conversation of the people inside the terrace.
“Really magnificent as rumored. It’s my first time feeling my heart race just by looking…….”

When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
