Entrance ceremony’s small event.
Instead of listening to the instructions, the children who were assigned to classes went to a small garden to introduce themselves.
At the designated 4 locations, characters representing each class were drawn, and chairs were neatly arranged in a circle according to the number of people.
Luckily, Cezar, Ivanné, and Nia, who all became members of the Sparrow class, sat in those chairs and gathered together like cute chicks.
“So, who will introduce themselves first?”
A slylooking middleaged teacher glanced at the children, and someone who caught her eye ran out to the middle, shouting loudly.
“I’m Ivanné! From our noble family, making desserts. You know? Posette Peperon. I’m the granddaughter of that bakery! Ivanné will win first place at the Big Dessert Making Festival later!”
With Ivanné shouting, the children all cheered together.
“Wow, then you’ll eat a lot of cake and cookies? I’m jealous!”
“I know! Mom said earlier, cookies, from Posette Peperon!”
The sociable children quickly welcomed Ivanné with applause, and Ivanné, facing them, slightly lifted her dress and gracefully accepted their greeting like any lady.
“Yes. The new friend is an energetic friend, right?”
The teacher smiled brightly at Ivanné’s hearty greeting and patted the child’s head as if in praise.
“Then let’s continue with the introductions.”
Cezar, who was sitting next to Ivanné, hesitated for a moment, then came out to the center with lively steps and greeted.
“I am Cezar Chepli. Grandson of the Chepli noble family.”
Cezar bowed his head slightly, giving a formal greeting.
A 5yearold child not mispronouncing a word in a greeting.
How well must he have been educated?
At this nononsense introduction, the teacher almost applauded but restrained her hands and said,
“Cezar. You can introduce yourself a bit more like Ivanné.”
At the teacher’s affectionate words, Cezar thought for a bit,
“……My father is a university professor, but I want to be a person who defends the empire grandly like Commander Lyon!”
“Oh my, a professor. That’s why you grew up so smart. The dream is great too. Teacher is touched. Everyone, applause!”
At the sound of the children’s applause, Cezar blushed a bit, bowed his head slightly, and sat down quietly in his seat.
Then, automatically, the child sitting next to Cezar came out.
A frecklefilled, orangehaired mischievous boy, Gederin, spoke with his hands in his pockets.
“I’m Gederin! Horni Shandan’s captain is my father! My father just recently bought a baron title. So Gederin is the son of a baron. And……”
“What does it mean to buy a title, teacher?”
“Can you buy it with money? I want to buy a duke. Mommy?”
“Ge……Gederin. Stop, we’ll get to know each other gradually. Now. Enough, enough. Next person.”
The teacher was flustered, having never faced such a difficult situation in her teaching career.
The children’s questions poured in after Gederin’s words for quite some time, but the seasoned middleaged teacher quickly stood the next child up to quiet them down.
But Gederin was angry.
He pouted at not being able to introduce himself fully, and his already mischievous look seemed even more sullen.
And finally, it was the turn of Nia, who was sitting next to Ivanné.
“Shall we come out and introduce ourselves?”
Nia rolled her eyes, then cautiously came out to the middle of the children.
Having already decided to adapt, she kept telling herself that this was nothing.
But as the focused gaze came to her, she still felt shy.
“……I’m Nia.”
It took the child a long time to say this one word, but for Nia, it was a passionate courage extended to approach the children for the first time.
The teacher encouraged the child to talk more.
“Nia, you can talk about dreams like Cesar. Tell me more about your story.”
“……My mom is, a very beautiful and cool knight……!”
Nia’s heart was throbbing.
Although there was neither a family nor anything to introduce at the teacher’s proposal, Nia was happier than anything because she had a mother to introduce.
To the child, the dream is Lucia.
Nia had pictured her mother and dreamed in that wretched life.
So, the moment to introduce such a dream was a very, very precious moment.
“Ha ha! A knight! Your status is low, where’s your dream!! My father said so. A knight is beneath a baron. To be great, you need a high status!”
“…….”
Nia looked like she might cry at any moment as she looked at Getherin, who was mocking her.
Should she not have said it?
What Nia, who didn’t know what status meant, understood was that her mother couldn’t have the dream of being a knight, but even a child could understand that it wasn’t good news.
The teacher quickly ran to Getherin and grabbed his shoulder.
“Getherin, you shouldn’t say that to a friend. Apologize.”
“No! My father said so. If you have money, you don’t have to apologize! We have a lot of money! I won’t do it!!”
“Getherin. If you don’t apologize soon…….”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
