For a moment, Jin Woo was speechless as he quietly gazed down at Ji Na. Her clear eyes, as if drawing him in, blinked slowly—as though she already knew everything.

“I know you’ve always had me as your first. Don’t let anything else slip away because of me.”

At her words, Jin Woo gave a slight shake of his head.

“It’s something I can handle tomorrow.”

“But you got a call from the hospital.”

Ji Na, nestled in Jin Woo’s arms, must have heard the voice on the other end of the receiver too. Jin Woo, looking troubled, let out a soft chuckle.

“Alright. Then I’ll drop you off at Noona’s place first and come back after.”

Ji Na didn’t nod or protest at Jin Woo’s words. As Jin Woo naturally began to move, he looked back at her once more.

“I’ll go to the hospital alone and come back.”

“Jin Woo.”

Ji Na’s voice, calling his name, rang out softly.

“You’re always my top priority too. To me, nothing matters more than you.”

“If there’s a place I’m not allowed, I’ll wait for you in the hallway. But if I end up being even the slightest burden to you, I think I’d be really heartbroken.”

Jin Woo’s eyes trembled faintly. He couldn’t bear the thought of making Ji Na sad. Letting out a quiet sigh, he finally spoke.
