Jin Woo, having finished the laundry, came in. Thankfully, he had donned a white shirt, but his entrance seemed to make the cool air turn warm again.
“How are you feeling, Noona?”
Despite his own efforts, his concern felt dreamily sweet.
“I’m fine. Thanks for your hard work.”
“I’ll go take a shower.”
His ordinary statement sounded unexpectedly significant.
“Okay.”
Jin Woo’s defined back muscles stood out through his wet shirt. Apparently, the sun had really done something to her head.
She wanted to look away, but her gaze seemed stubbornly fixed. It was only when the bathroom door closed that her eyes finally moved.
‘Why am I like this?’

A slight fever seemed to rise, continuously feeling warm. After a while, the sound of the shower stopped.
A bit later, Jin Woo appeared, casually pushing back his tousled, wet hair. Dressed in a comfortable T-shirt and shorts, he looked stunning as if he had stepped out of a photoshoot.
‘I must be crazy.’
Now, every aspect of Jin Woo seemed to be viewed through a filter of admiration.
Ji Na rolled her eyes aimlessly. She kept losing herself in front of Jin Woo.
“Your face is still red.”
Suddenly, his hand reached out and touched Ji Na’s forehead.
Startled, Ji Na stepped back, and Jin Woo’s expression hardened a bit.
“I’m really fine.”
“Okay.”

When Ji Na forced a smile, Jin Woo also smiled faintly.
“Um… I want to formally meet your parents, Noona.”
His voice was cautious.
“Huh?”
It was somewhat sudden, but maybe she had subconsciously expected it, so Ji Na quickly composed herself.
“Yes, let’s do that.”
At Ji Na’s response, Jin Woo’s face relaxed, seemingly relieved.
“Phew.”
He sighed, uncharacteristically.
“I’m not being too hasty, am I?”

There was a slight tremor in Jin Woo’s voice.
Ji Na could feel his ever-considerate nature.
“No, not at all.”
She slowly raised her hand and gently patted Jin Woo’s arm. His muscles tensed briefly under her touch before a warm breath scattered across Ji Na’s cheek. Soon, Jin Woo’s long, smooth hand softly cupped her cheek.
“It’s enough.”
His eyes, looking at Ji Na, glowed captivatingly. His intense gaze made her involuntarily take a breath.
“I’ll stay over tonight.”
It was a declaration. Despite the tenderness in his voice, his eyes held a desperate longing, mixed with a fiery desire. Ji Na no longer wanted to avoid it or ignore his love. She wanted to fully accept his heart.
Ji Na raised her head and captured Jin Woo’s lips. The gentle touch was warm and soft. Her heart started pounding again.
But now, it didn’t matter. Jin Woo’s heart was beating as fervently as hers. Their two heartbeats seemed to sync as one.

Their lips parted for a moment.
“I won’t stop.”
Jin Woo entered the room with a slightly excited voice. His heated gaze made Ji Na’s face flush as she smiled.
“Okay.”
This time, it was Jin Woo who initiated. The kiss, a bit rough at the start, was intertwined with their warm breaths. It was a night filled with an intense heat that felt almost overwhelming.
Doh Jin lay sprawled on the bed, his expression grave. Lost in thought, his face was furrowed, making him appear irritable.
“Oh.”
Yoon Joo, about to call him ‘Oppa,’ quickly shut her mouth. After a pause, she approached him cheerfully.
“Doh Jin, do you want to try these?”
A tray of grapes, recently touted as delicious, was placed before him. Doh Jin, uninterested, waved his hand dismissively.
“No, I don’t want any.”

“They’re really good. Mom asked me to bring them to you.”
“I don’t like grapes.”
Yoon Joo pouted at Doh Jin’s blunt refusal.
“Little one, let’s not pick up Dad’s picky eating habits.”
Yoon Joo stroked her belly as if to tell Doh Jin, who finally turned his head.
“Hey.”
Before she could rejoice at his regained attention, she flinched at his harsh tone.
“Get out of my sight.”
His annoyance was evident. Yoon Joo wanted to say something but was too intimidated by his attitude and left without a word.
In the kitchen, Doh Jin’s mother clicked her tongue as Yoon Joo left the grapes on the tray.

“You should have fed him the grapes.”
Her voice was irritated and somewhat similar to Doh Jin’s.
“Oppa doesn’t want to eat.”
“You should coax him into eating, even if he doesn’t want to.”
Ah, the child is clueless.
Doh Jin’s mother looked at Yoon Joo with disapproval. No matter how hard she tried, Yoon Joo couldn’t measure up to Doh Jin’s ex-girlfriend, Ji Na.
She lacked charm, especially as a pregnant woman who couldn’t even make an effort to look pleasant. She wasn’t diligent in taking care of the household or her husband. From the start, Doh Jin’s mother didn’t approve of her.
“Alright, I understand.”
Yoon Joo held back more words, considering her pregnancy. Doh Jin’s mother’s response was brusque as she began to put the grapes back in the fridge. Yoon Joo, confused, picked up a grape and ate it.
“Ah, it’s so tasty. Why wouldn’t he eat?”

As she munched on the grapes, Doh Jin’s mother looked her up and down before slapping her hand.
“Eating like that will give you gestational diabetes.”

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
