From Monday, the company was noisy. Manager Kim Do Jin seemed to have planned it, he was scolding Seo Jin Woo from morning, which was why.
Ji Na, who came to work a bit later than usual, quickly gestured to Ji Hye. She had no idea what was going on. Reading Ji Na’s gaze, Ji Hye quickly sent a text.
[It seems our intern Jin Woo made some mistake. The atmosphere has been like this since I came in.] Upon Ji Hye’s text, Ji Na frowned for a moment in thought. It was clear that he was scolding Jin Woo with malice towards her.Ji Na, who put her bag on the desk, hurriedly approached Do Jin and Jin Woo. Seeing Do Jin’s cold voice and Jin Woo standing straight, slightly bowing his head and listening quietly, Ji Na felt her anger rise.
“Manager.”
At the sound of Ji Na’s voice, Do Jin glanced at her with a cold gaze.
“What is it?
“Did Intern Seo make some mistake?”
Do Jin, facing Ji Na who was asking firmly, adjusted his glasses and twisted his lips.
“Yes.”
Facing his vile gaze, Ji Na opened her mouth again.
“Whatever the mistake is, as his superior, it’s because I taught him wrong. Please forgive him.”
Contrary to her challenging gaze, Ji Na’s tone was polite.
“Hah.”
As if it wasn’t enough to pray for.
Jin Woo, who had been threatened by Ji Na since dawn, felt sick. As soon as he arrived at the company, he was called by Do Jin, who seemed to have been waiting.

“Who staples like this. We have rules and order in our company that have been passed down from long ago, but if the superior is screwed up, the intern ends up like this. Sigh.”
Stapler? Ji Na quickly checked the documents scattered carelessly on Do Jin’s desk. It was a petty nitpicking.
“I’m sorry. I will teach correctly.”
Ji Na bowed her waist.
“I’m sorry. Deputy Lee taught me correctly, but I made a mistake.”
With just a stapler. The office employees who found out about the whole situation all shook their heads in unison.
They felt that the manager, who had a good temperament and character until Jin Woo came, changed at some point. As if conscious of Jin Woo, Do Jin nitpicked on even the small mistakes of other people, becoming irritable or angry.
Do Jin, who was glancing at the reactions of other employees, noticed the situation turning against him and quickly turned his head.
“Be careful next time. Both of you.”
With his face reddened, Do Jin gestured as if to dismiss them. Ji Na quickly returned to her seat with Jin Woo.
Jin Woo, who was unjustly scolded for a while, showed no change in expression. He seemed to feel no need to respond to Do Jin’s tirade. Rather, he smiled slightly at Ji Na and went back to his place.
[Wow… I never saw Manager Kim like that, what a nag] Seeing the text from Ji Hye, Ji Na sighed with a troubled expression. Whether he intended to torment them by picking unreasonable faults, Do Jin started working in a neat posture as if nothing had happened.Could it be because Ji Na couldn’t change her mother’s mind? She felt uneasy, thinking that Jin Woo had to suffer unreasonable venting because of her.
It seemed that she would need to concentrate more than usual today. She didn’t want to make Jin Woo get scolded again because of her mistake.

“Wow, congratulations.”
As lunchtime approached, the atmosphere in the office became hectic. The unusually excited cheers slowed down Ji Na’s fingers moving on the keyboard.
“Amazing.”
Ji Hye’s voice, who appeared out of nowhere, reached Ji Na’s ear.
“What’s happening?”
“Manager Kim Do Jin is currently handing out wedding invitations.”
“Huh?”
Wedding invitations. Ji Na ended up exclaiming without realizing it.
“Why are you so surprised? We already knew all about it.”
Ji Hye, who had said this far, lowered her voice as if it were a secret.
“With Heo Yoon Ju.”
Peering over the partition towards the noise, Manager Kim Do Jin and Heo Yoon Ju were already side by side receiving congratulations. The office workers’ cheers were unusually loud.
“The first couple within the company. When did they start dating.”
With a dissatisfied face, Ji Hye shook her head.
“Exactly. When did they start dating.”
Ji Na murmured with a bitter voice. It seemed she was unable to change her mother’s mind even while making and handing out wedding invitations. No matter how much she kept a poker face, how much it would have burned inside, thinking that made her feel a sense of satisfaction.
“They suit each other well.”
Ji Na spoke unenthusiastically and turned her gaze.
“Let’s go eat something delicious.”
She had no appetite, but she wanted to eat the tastiest thing.

“What would you like to eat that’s delicious?”
Upon hearing the familiar voice that cut in abruptly, both Ji Na and Ji Hye’s eyes widened. Jin Woo, who had appeared at some point, was standing over Ji Na’s partition. His affectionate and clear eyes made Ji Na smile.
“Meat!”
“Meat for lunch?”
As Ji Hye asked confusedly, Ji Na put more energy into her response.
“When it’s meat pressure, it’s meat forward!”
“Let’s go.”
With a look of determination, Ji Na and Jin Woo strode out confidently. Ji Hye followed behind, tilting her head in curiosity.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
