As Ji Na’s words flowed out, Jin Woo looked at her intently. His gaze seemed to freeze, burning with an intensity that seemed to draw her in.
“I don’t want to be too hard on you, Sister…” His voice was dangerously low, sending a chill down Ji Na’s spine. His voice and gaze left her mouth dry.
“Too hard?”
“I’ve been trying not to push you since this afternoon.”
Standing in the middle of the deck, Jin Woo’s muscular body tensed. His whole body seemed to be showing his desire for Ji Na. Yet, as he had said, he was holding back, his jaw muscles taut with tension.
“I’ll just kiss you.”
After a moment of eye contact, Jin Woo stepped closer. A cool breeze mixed with the fresh scent of the forest.
Gently cupping her cheek, Jin Woo lowered his head. His warmth touched Ji Na’s lips. Their sweet breaths mingled.
After a moment, Jin Woo slowly caressed Ji Na’s cheek, having released her lips.
“Just wait a little. I’ll collect some firewood and cook something delicious.”

With moist eyes, Ji Na nodded.
The occasional sound of unidentified birds was beautiful. The quiet space, as if time had stopped, was entirely their secret haven.
“It would be nice to come here when it snows in winter.”
Looking at the luxurious fireplace installed in the house, Ji Na murmured. It was a perfect cottage for a comfortable rest in all seasons.
“I’ve collected all the firewood. Are you very hungry?”
Jin Woo, dusting off his hands as he entered from the deck, put on his shirt.
“What will you make?”
“What do you want to eat, Sister?”
“Hmm… Everything you make seems delicious.”
At Ji Na’s words, Jin Woo smiled lightly.

“Don’t regret saying that.”
“What? Suddenly?”
Ji Na’s eyes widened at Jin Woo’s unpredictable words.
“It’s scary, you know.”
Laughing, Jin Woo stood in the kitchen, skillfully folding a kitchen towel over his shoulder.
“I’ll do my best.”
Facing Ji Na across the island kitchen counter, Jin Woo spoke with a tense face, like a contestant in a cooking competition.
“Yes.”
Sitting at the table, Ji Na responded with a smile. All the ingredients seemed to have been prepared in advance by Jin Woo.
Contrary to Jin Woo’s playful challenge, his cooking skills were quite adept. His handling of the frying pan and making of the seasoning were not the work of a novice.

“Wow… You really cook well, don’t you?”
Ji Na, watching him intently, exclaimed.
“I’ve been living alone for over ten years. I can cook pretty much anything.”
Jin Woo’s words carried a hint of sadness. From the time he went to America, living in dorms, staying with others, his tough life was far from that of a typical third-generation chaebol.
Knowing this, Ji Na couldn’t hide her bittersweet expression.
“Alright, it’s ready.”
Tomato pasta, oil pasta, and cream risotto were served one after the other on the marble table.
“Wow, that looks delicious.”
Tomato pasta, oil pasta, and cream risotto were successively placed on the marble dining table.
“Wow, looks delicious.”
The steaming dishes looked appetizing at first glance.

“It smells really good already.”
Ji Na, sniffing the air, nodded in agreement.
“Let’s eat quickly.”
Urged by Jin Woo, who came carrying a plate heaped with a fresh salad, Ji Na quickly picked up her fork. As she twirled the oil pasta onto her fork and took a bite, her eyes widened in surprise.
“Mmm, it’s really good! The pasta is chewy and the sauce complements it perfectly.”
Jin Woo laughed heartily at her comment.
“You sound like a professional food critic.”
“I may not be good at cooking, but I’m good at eating.”
Ji Na chuckled awkwardly, continuously moving her fork.
“What’s in this salad dressing? It’s incredibly refreshing.”

Her exaggerated reactions were just an added bonus. Ji Na, not yet picking up her fork, looked at Jin Woo, who was watching her with content. She then asked him,
“Why aren’t you eating?”
“Just watching you eat makes me feel full.”
Ji Na grinned at his response, which initially seemed cheesy.
“I want to feel full too.”
Ji Na motioned towards the fork, prompting Jin Woo to shrug his shoulders and pick up his fork.
“I can’t win against Sister anymore.”
After finishing their meal, the two comfortably leaned back on the low-back sofa in the living room. The forest and sky visible through the large window felt like a giant landscape painting. As they dined, the evening sky had filled with a reddish glow.
“I wish I could rest here for a few months.”
Ji Na mused while rubbing her full belly. Her reflection multiplied in the luxurious chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

“Will you rest here while I’m away?”
Jin Woo’s question made Ji Na chuckle.
“If I rest, my desk at the office might disappear.”
“Hahaha. That won’t happen.”
“It’s dangerous if it becomes known that I’m in a special relationship with the Executive Director.”
“I don’t want to put Sister in danger…”
Jin Woo murmured in a low voice.
“But I still can’t give up on Sister.”
Ji Na’s heart fluttered at his soft sigh.
“Good. Don’t give up on me. I won’t give up on you either.”

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
