I appealed silently to Emma that it wasn’t like that, but she wasn’t listening at all.

Kashar stood up from his seat. His back looked pitiful, like a hero who had been rejected.

“Are you leaving?!”

But I saw nothing with my eyes.

Yes, people can go mad for a moment if they hit their heads. But seeing him ready to leave immediately, he seemed to have come to his senses.

‘I wish he had exchanged the food cost for my sins.’

I was filled with the hope that he would disappear as he was.

“Yes.”

Kashar slowly nodded his head. I felt like crying with joy.

‘If I send him off now, it’s really goodbye.’

I had eaten well, and my anger seemed to have subsided.

Things seemed to have worked out better than I thought.

“Take care!”

But I was glad to see a pretty face, no, a submale.

It was when I was wholeheartedly adjusting my hair.

Kashar, with his long legs, came up and took my hand. Hot lips touched the back of my hand.

Too close a distance.

He whispered so that only I could hear,

“I enjoyed the meal. So I’ll make a return gesture.”

“What?”

“Wait quietly. It won’t be fun if you run away.”

His bittersweet voice resonated in my ears.

Inside the carriage returning to Ruben Castle.

Opposite Kashar sat a man with tied grey hair. It was his lieutenant, Mikhail Evans.

Mikhail’s grey eyes studied his master. Kashar had been looking out the window since earlier.

He maintained an expressionless face, occasionally bursting into laughter. He looked like a handsome madman.

‘Has he finally gone mad?’

Suppressing it with poison, but it wasn’t strange for a madman to go mad at any time.

He hardly seemed human, considering his natural physical ability and recovery.

From the first war when Kashar was banished as a fallen child, Mikhail had stood by his side as his lieutenant and magician.

‘The Vladis War.’

Vladis, a mediumsized country, had begun to antagonize Lihart in alliance with another country at some point.

Then, eventually, a war broke out over the land of gold mines.

Kashar was the first to be cast into war.

It was a war to which he was sent to die, but he survived.

Rather.

‘Vladis was pitiful.’

The 15yearold Kashar awakens his royal abilities on the battlefield.
Kashar turned everything he held in his hand into a weapon, and he could even decapitate an enemy leader on his own.

Scholars who have long studied the royal family’s abilities have defined his abilities as transcending humanity.

But there were no records in history of abilities as monstrous as this.

The war ended in a onesided slaughter.

Vladis fell with just three clashes, and at the end of the king’s neck, the whole country was united with Lihart.

This was the reason Kashar was given the title of Vladis.

Whether then or now, reading the master’s psychology was impossible, but as a lieutenant, there were parts that needed to be known.

What was the problem when observing the former Empress Bibiana’s term?

Mikhail was about to cautiously speak up.

“What’s the matter…….”

“Darling, Lani.”

Hmm.

At Kashar’s sudden words, Mikhail narrowed his brow.

He wouldn’t be talking to me, would he?

With a strange imagination, Mikhail trembled without expression.

“I saw an interesting woman.”

At the word ‘woman,’ Mikhail noticeably relaxed.

Despite his lieutenant’s reaction, Kashar was thinking something entirely different.

Long brown hair and light green eyes.

An ordinarylooking maid flickered before Kashar’s eyes.

He had spent time in the tower on orders and was on his way out. Some scent had captivated him.

‘A delicious smell.’

A rich yet unique aroma was wafting from the back door.

He couldn’t believe it. He hadn’t smelled such a fragrant smell in a long time.

His steps naturally led him there.

Reaching the source of the scent and momentarily losing consciousness, something blunt struck his head.

He passed out right then and there.

Being hit on the back of the head was absurd enough, but then the maid tried to dispose of him to cover up the incident.

‘A crazy woman.’

Literally.

He had thought of killing her when she was pretending to be his lover.

But.

Just before drawing his knife, the smell he had sensed before fainting tickled his nose.

It was the perfect smell that had captivated him.

In the end, he kept his position with a hopeful expectation.

And soon, breakfast was prepared.

Among the unfamiliar dishes, something like yellow soup caught his eye.

‘That smell.’

It was even more fragrant than what he had smelled.

Kashar finally picked up a spoon.

As soon as the soup touched his tongue, it spread deeply, tasting rich and salty.

At first, he was only surprised by the taste. But the moment he swallowed, his body immediately reacted.

‘The pain is going away.’

The Alrubi fruit blocked madness but caused immense pain.

The sensation of burning intestines was disappearing, a sign that the madness was subsiding.

As he continued to swallow this yellow soup, the pain lessened.

Eventually, he felt languid, even wanting to forgive everything.

‘…Bukeotguk, was it?’

Soft, cool, and deep, it reminded him of the sea.

Along with the savory taste, the warm temperature comforted even his insides.

‘Maybe I could recover.’

Taste and smell. And the slowly fading sense of touch, too.

Alrubi fruit blocked madness but was almost like poison.

He took the fruit knowing that, only because there was no other way.

But if he could neutralize the poison, it would be a different story.

“Mikhail, are there any royals living near the tower?”

“Ah, yes. I know that the abandoned princes live in Naenggung.”

As Mikhail answered, he pondered. Soon, the thought reached him that trouble must have occurred there.

There must be a corpse, so he concluded that he should send personnel to deal with it.

But Kashar’s words were entirely different from his expectation.

“Find out about the nursemaid there.”
“May I inquire the reason?”

“I owe a favor to the wet nurse there. I would like to send a token of gratitude.”

Kashar Vladis’s eyes curled beautifully.

His expression resembled the smile just before he unsheathed his sword to slaughter an enemy.

“I will make the preparations.”

It seemed best not to ask further.

Mikhail accepted the command.

“Aileen, it has begun!”

“……Again today?”

I dried my hands after washing them in response to Emma’s call.

Since the day after Kashar left, the cold palace, which no one sought, had been showered with gifts.

Male lead is a Love-Obsessed Merman

When he discovers she has gone, he risks everything to pursue her on land, enduring agonizing pain to transform his tail into human legs…

One-line summary: Male lead chases female lead. The male lead’s love is a bit sick, an invincible love brain.

Synopsis

During a voyage at sea, Jiang Yang accidentally captures a merman.

Servant: I heard that mermen are fierce and brutal.

Jiang Yang looks at the merman obediently rubbing her palm like a puppy: “You call this fierce and brutal?”

Servant: I heard that mermen have no human nature.

Jiang Yang looks at the merman with wet puppy eyes, obsessively calling her ‘A Yang’ like a childish infant: “You call this having no human nature?”

With great difficulty, she releases the merman back into the sea and returns to shore.

Who would have thought that in less than half a month, the merman, who should have been freely wandering in the South China Sea, would shed his scales, endure the pain of losing his tail, transform into human legs, and come ashore to find her?

He kneels at her feet, rubbing her palm, with merman tears rolling down: “A Yang, don’t abandon me.”
