Regina let out a small sigh and gathered the hem of her skirt.

Lifting even the layers of her petticoats slightly, Regina placed her foot on the shoemaker’s provided footrest.

As the shoemaker gently removed her light indoor shoes, Regina’s small feet were revealed.

With both hands, the shoemaker carefully took hold of her foot and began examining it from every angle.
