“Are you cold? Is it because you’ve become weak?”

Aaron wrapped Delia in a large blanket.

“It’s because I’m with you. I would have been better off with the wolves.”

Despite her complaints, Delia clung to the blanket that covered her.

She slowly got up from the bed and set her feet on the floor.

The blister that had formed from running hastily yesterday sharply pricked her foot.

Watching her, Aaron picked up Delia all at once.

“Your plan yesterday was pretty good.”

At Aaron’s words, Delia squinted her eyes and glanced at Aaron.

“No, no. Of course not. I’m sincerely praising you. I didn’t anticipate that you would hide in the fort. You struck a blow.”

“That’s because of the wolf. The plan itself was excellent. You’re the first to make me this nervous. I think you’re really amazing.”

“The reason it feels bad to be praised is probably because you’re the enemy.”

Delia pouted her lips.

“If it weren’t for the wolf, I would have succeeded in escaping.”

“If it wasn’t for the fast pursuit, you would have been eaten by the wolf.”

The battle with the wolf that happened yesterday quickly passed through Delia’s mind.

The low growl brushing her cheek and the hot breath of the beast full of killing intent.

Her body started shaking involuntarily.

“Don’t be too upset. I’m glad that you safely returned to my hands.”

Aaron extended his hand to Delia, collecting the loose hair and tucking it behind her ear.

Thanks to his gentle touch, her hair didn’t fall into the soup.

But Delia’s face stiffened at Aaron’s touch.

“My failure is your relief.”

They were enemies who could never see eye to eye.

His thickly laden gentle touch felt more cruel than the hot breath of the wolf.

She shouldn’t get used to this. She shouldn’t keep falling for him.

Feeling anxious and restless, Delia gritted her teeth.

“Why don’t you try assassinating me if you’re so upset?”

Aaron casually suggested, looking at Delia, who was rigid and wouldn’t relax.

“You’re insane. How can you say that?”

Aaron extended his hand again, smoothing Delia’s furrowed forehead with his thumb.

“At least you didn’t get hurt. You almost got bitten by the wolf yesterday.”

“Who’s worried about whom now? What if I really succeed in the assassination?”

“I’ll handle that, so you don’t have to worry.”

Delia pushed Aaron’s hand touching her forehead, feeling dizzy.

A commander worrying that a prisoner might be attacked by a wolf.

A prisoner worrying that the commander’s assassination might succeed.

Everything twisted contradictorily in her mind.

She was entangled with that guy.

Delia realized the truth with a bitter taste in her mouth.

“Let’s stop. Talking with the commander, I feel like I’m becoming a fool. I lost.”

Delia raised both of her hands to declare surrender.

At the prisoner’s adorable declaration of surrender, Aaron chuckled quietly.

“Shall we eat?”

Delia stabbed a piece of finely chopped meat with her fork and put it in her mouth.

While she was chewing and swallowing, Aaron’s languid voice came into Delia’s ear.

“Anyway, do anything you want, but try not to get hurt.”

“Do anything I want?”

“Yes, as long as the prisoner is not hurt.”

Was he serious?

She couldn’t grasp what the commander wanted.

It was excessively generous if it was just to use her.

After a moment’s contemplation, Delia, leaning on the chair, announced a new plan.

Her blue eyes were sharply aimed at Aaron.

“Arson?”

“I’ll steal oil, spray it on the barracks, and set it on fire.”

“How about a lure? I know the mountain geography well, so I’ll coax them into the swamp.”

“When they’re struggling in the swamp, I’ll call for help and shoot them all.”
