“How are you feeling?”

Delia scowled at Aaron’s soft voice permeating her ear.

The softer he was, the more rough Delia became.

As if trying to fend off his deadly temptation.

“I wish you wouldn’t speak so kindly. We’re not close enough to ask each other’s wellbeing.”

“Why? What’s between us?”

“We’re enemies. I have to kill you and escape, you have to hold me and use me.”

Lying down, Delia’s voice seeped into the tent.

Whether she hadn’t fully woken up or the fatigue from last night hadn’t fully left, her voice was lower than usual.

“But you can still ask an enemy how they’re doing and offer them a meal, right?”

Delia, who had been lying face down, rolled over and laid down flat, looking up at Aaron.

When her bruised body touched the bed, her brow furrowed in pain.

Delia pulled up the disarrayed blanket to cover her body and spat out coldly.

“That’s your delusion. Just because a cat worries about a mouse doesn’t mean the mouse is grateful.”

“If it were a mouse, it wouldn’t be able to act gruff towards the worrying cat. It would be caught and eaten before it could even speak.”

Delia thought, clutching the blanket tightly.

The commander’s eyes somewhat resembled a cat’s.

Aaron’s soothing voice flowed into the tense Delia.

“You couldn’t eat properly last night because you were trying to deceive me.”

Aaron leaned his body towards Delia, resting his hand on the bed.

Delia shuddered at his encroaching gesture.

She should have let his hand do as it pleased.

The sensation of his grey eyes touching was much more sensual than the feeling of his touch.

His lecherous eyes swept over her body.

His eyes, different from usual, sparkled as they seemed to draw Delia in.

She felt breathless, as if she had fallen into a silver lake and water was filling her lungs.

“Your stomach must be upset from drinking on an empty stomach.”

Aaron’s voice, which worried about Delia, resonated like thick fog over the lake.

Her heart throbbed at the enveloping sensation of his low and moist voice.

Even though she had no physical contact with Aaron, she felt as if her whole body was touching him.

“And you spent a lot of energy climbing the mountain and fighting with the wolf.”

Delia lowered her eyes, trying to appear calm.

“Who do you think caused that? It’s because you’re holding me prisoner.”

Before Delia’s words were even finished, Aaron intercepted.

“That’s right. It’s because of me. So eat. You need to eat well and recover quickly to deceive me again and escape.”

“Are you telling me to escape again right now?”

Delia widened her eyes at the commander’s absurd words.

A princess of a country couldn’t be dragged around by an enemy.

She was caught again by a wolf while escaping yesterday, but she couldn’t just give up.

But when the enemy commander encouraged her to escape, her motivation mysteriously vanished at once.

“Are you feeding me so I can recover and escape?”

Delia looked up at Aaron with an incredulous expression.

“Why? Are you not going to try to escape now? It would be better for me if you don’t.”

Delia let out a desolate sigh.

In front of the commander who took everything lightly, she felt ridiculous trying so hard.

“Commander, don’t worry. I’ll handle it myself.”

Feeling Delia’s momentum fade, Aaron reached out towards her shoulder.

A red mark was left on her slim shoulder that the blanket had failed to cover.

He lightly touched the red mark left on her smooth skin.

Thanks to the thick and sturdy uniform, her shoulder almost left with a wolf’s claw mark when she was pinned down by the wolf.

“But if you do happen to escape, let me know in advance.”

Delia violently slapped away Aaron’s hand and flatly refused his request.

“That’s ridiculous.”

“And be sure to let me know where you’re going.”

“Do you think I’ll tell you my escape route? So you can catch me again?”

“I’m going to kill all the wolves on the way.”

At Aaron’s absurd words, Delia blinked her eyes.

I’m more angry that I failed to escape than that I was almost attacked by a wolf.

Does the commander think it’s more important that a prisoner was almost attacked by a wolf than that a prisoner escaped?

That bastard.

“You’re absolutely crazy.”

At Delia’s blunt words, Aaron finally let out a small laugh.

“That’s right. Call me crazy. So if you’re going to escape, be sure to let me know. You can’t have a dangerous incident like yesterday.”

“The wolf is the problem now? No, it’s you getting caught again that’s the problem.”

“To me, the wolf is the problem. It doesn’t matter if you escape wherever, because you’re in my hands, but it’s a problem if you get hurt like this.”

Upon hearing Aaron’s nonchalant response, Delia let out a light sigh.

Her sleep was abruptly disturbed due to that mad commander.

Delia slowly raised her body.

“That’s enough. I’m hungry. Let’s eat.”

She put on the shirt that had been unbuttoned to apply medicine.

Air flowed through the loose shirt, touching her bare skin, and Delia shivered.
