His hand moved along with the tears.

As he wiped away the flowing tears, Aaron carefully picked up Delia.

His broad shoulders and solid chest supported Delia, keeping her from shaking.

For a man who had come to steal Eorenti.

“Just leave me to die.”

Delia buried her face in Aaron’s neck.

Her sorrowful sobbing echoed in the quiet forest.

“I really hate you.”

Whether it was a relief for being alive, or despair for being caught again.

Delia herself could not understand the meaning of the tears she was shedding.

As if the night search and chase were a dream.

In the commander’s barracks, soft sunlight fell, a gentle energy swirling around.

At the center of an unseemly peace in the battlefield, Aaron’s prisoner was deep in sleep.

Light hit Delia’s lashes, lying as if dead, and shattered finely.

The dazzling prisoner was fully reflected in Aaron’s eyes.

Perhaps the escape drama last night was too much, she fell asleep as soon as she arrived at the camp.

Even after cleaning the blood on her body and washing it off, she just fell into a deep sleep, merely entrusting her body to Aaron.

As Aaron was deeply sinking into the chair, watching Delia, he slowly reached out his hand.

He pulled down the blanket covering Delia, and gathered her disheveled golden strands neatly to one side.

When he fixed her hair, the traces of last night drawn on her pure white skin were fully revealed.

“She seems desperate to escape.”

The military officer who came to treat the patient clicked his tongue upon seeing the prisoner’s condition.

He quickly opened his medical bag, taking out medicines for disinfection and bandages.

“Her arm?”

In response to the commander’s question, the military officer who was inspecting the bandaged wound on her left arm answered.

“Fortunately, there’s no serious problem.”

“That’s fortunate.”

“What’s the point? She comes back injured every time we heal one wound.”

The military officer grumbled as he lightly scanned the patient’s body.

The officer who skilfully wrapped her arm in a bandage took out a small pill bottle from the bag.

“At this rate, no matter how much I treat her, she won’t have a body left.”

The officer’s hand, about to apply medicine to the bruises all over her body, was stopped by the commander.

Surprised, the officer looked at the hand blocking his way.

“Are you going to do it yourself, commander?”

The officer asked, bewildered, but Aaron simply extended his hand without a word.

Unable to do anything, the officer handed the medicine to the commander.

“Here you go.”

Aaron’s hand, holding the medicine, carefully traced the marks left on the prisoner’s body.

The bruises on her back from impact, the red trace on her shoulder, the blisters on her hand, and the minor scratches on her arms and legs.

All of them were etched into Aaron’s hand.

As Aaron’s hand brushed past, Delia winced in her sleep.

The prisoner’s pain was transmitted through the hand applying the medicine.

“Will it hurt a lot?”

Aaron’s soft voice echoed.

“It’s a minor abrasion, but it will hurt for a few days.”

“Then find a way to make it not hurt.”

“Well, all the pain relievers were taken back to the main base. All I have are disinfectants and simple emergency treatment tools.”

Aaron glared at the officer, frowning.

In response to the commander’s silent reproach, the officer shrugged and answered.

“I didn’t know we were going to stay here for so long. I thought we were joining the main base soon, so I sent everything there.”

Scratching his head, the officer added.

“Besides, I didn’t know I’d be treating a prisoner this diligently.”

While following the commander’s order to treat her, he couldn’t understand the commander’s intentions.

Looking at the commander’s mood, the officer cautiously asked.

“What is the reason you scrutinize an escaping prisoner this much? Isn’t it an immediate execution according to the military law? Perhaps.”

The military officer trailed off, eyeing the commander’s expression.

“That’s not an issue for the military officer to mention. Decisions about prisoners are the commander’s jurisdiction.”

Aaron, speaking coldly, stared at the thin scar remaining on the prisoner’s arm.

“Leave the medicine and go.”

The military officer swallowed dry saliva at the command of an unusual temperature.

I’ve asked too boldly.

Aaron Bergen, the sole Grand Duke of the Stillets Empire.

He was full of leisure and relaxation typical of high nobility.

He also had the freespirited nature unique to the youngest prince.

Externally, he appeared playful and light, but if one crossed the line…

One would understand why the symbol of the Stillets Empire’s royal family is a silver wolf at once.

And he had no intention of crossing that line.

The military officer instinctively stroked his own throat and saluted.

“Yes, commander. I will step back now.”

The military officer left, and silence filled the commander’s tent.

Aaron slowly approached Delia and sat down in the center of the bed.

He covered her exposed back by pulling up the blanket and stroked her round head.

The sensation of her hair, soft like fine threads, wrapped around his hand.

He didn’t want to miss this feeling again.

No matter how much Delia tried to escape, she was Aaron’s prisoner.

Branded deeply as Aaron’s, she was his prisoner, sleeping in Aaron’s territory.

A strange light flashed across Aaron’s eyes, feeling the touch transferred to the tip of his fingers.

“Get your hand off.”

Delia’s voice, thought to be asleep, echoed lowly.

Delia’s long eyelashes trembled, and her tightly closed eyes opened.

“Don’t touch my body.”

At Delia’s ringing voice reverberating through the tent, Aaron’s rigid expression quickly softened.

Just like a prisoner of Aaron, Delia boldly and unabashedly commanded the enemy commander.

At the sight of the prisoner returning as usual, yesterday’s tension and worry faded significantly.

Smiling slightly at the relief, Aaron slowly withdrew his hand.

“Are you awake? How’s your body? Is your arm okay?”

At Aaron’s gentle words, Delia frowned.
