“This is your room.”

The eyes of Viscount Sevriat and his wife, as well as Rose, widened. It was because the room prepared by Duke Artem turned out to be more splendid than expected.

With a small suitcase in hand, Rose entered the room. The new room she would be staying in felt somewhat burdensome.

“Why is the room so luxurious?”

It was more spacious than the one she stayed in at Viscount Wence’s mansion. And what made her uncomfortable wasn’t just that.

“Viscount Sevriat and his wife live in an old cabin, and here I am, enjoying such luxury alone. Is it acceptable for me to indulge in such extravagance?”

Rose glanced at Viscount Sevriat and his wife with a sidelong look.

They, too, like Rose, were looking around the room with somewhat puzzled eyes.

“It seems quite uncomfortable.”

In a voice too low for Duke Artem to hear, Rose whispered to Demon.

“I think it might be difficult for me to stay alone here.”

“Did your feelings change after arriving?”

“Not really, but…”

Rose hesitated and spoke again.

“I don’t want to live separately from my father and mother. Can’t we stay together here?”

Rose’s words, if translated as “Let’s go back,” would have made Demon tense, but now he relaxed and smiled.

“You’re not a child, yet you’re making a fuss.”

Although Demon was in a good mood to the point of soaring to the sky, he responded with a dismissive tone.

The Duke couldn’t take his eyes off Rose, who was whispering to Demon.

Grass was sticking to Rose’s hair. In fact, not only her hair but also her dress was in the same state.

“Leaves are stuck to it.”

When Demon tried to carefully reach out to remove the grass stuck to Rose’s hair, she suddenly turned around.

Facing Artem, who was reaching out towards her, Rose blinked her eyes like a surprised rabbit.

The Duke, who had stopped momentarily, nonchalantly extended his hand towards Rose’s eyes.

“There’s a grass leaf on your hair.”

“Ah… Thank you.”

She was surprised.

Turning around, she realized that the Duke was too close.

Brushing off her startled chest, Rose expressed her gratitude.

The Duke, for some reason, let out a silly laughter.

Watching him, Libera, who had been observing, nudged Demon and whispered.

“Hey, is Duke Artem usually someone who laughs a lot?”

“Well, the Duke has been dignified since childhood. Why are you suddenly asking that?”

Demon’s response led to Libera’s expression darkening.

“What about our Rose… Can she really stay at Duke Artem’s mansion?”
“To live together without getting married in the prime of their lives.”

As Rose’s mother, Libera couldn’t help but worry about this situation.

Libera wondered if Duke Artem had a favorable impression of her daughter Rose.

Demon seemed oblivious, though.

With a peculiar expression, Libera alternately looked at Duke Artem and her daughter Rose.

Demon, unaware of Libera’s feelings, frowned sternly.

“You, don’t be stubborn. This is the safest place where you won’t encounter that damn Eric.”

Libera lightly hit Demon’s back and spoke as if advising.

“It’s not like that!”

Demon, surprised by Libera’s touch that descended upon him, looked at her. Libera whispered to Demon.

“Look at the Duke’s gaze. The way he looks at Rose is unsettling.”

With Libera’s words, Demon widened his eyes discreetly and stared at Duke Artem and Rose.

“See? He looks at Rose and smiles again. Didn’t you say earlier that the Duke rarely smiles in general? Why would he smile only when looking at our Rose? It must be because he has feelings, right?”

Libera grabbed Demon’s forearm with a serious expression.

Her daughter, who had barely escaped from the hopeless Eric, wouldn’t become the lover of the rumored mad Duke, would she?

Just thinking about it made Libera’s spine crawl.

She didn’t want to see Rose, who had been hurt once by a man, get hurt again.

She didn’t entirely believe all the rumors about the Duke, but she was well aware that he was known to be a harsh and cold person to everyone.

If Rose were to meet another man next time, Libera hoped that he would cherish and love Rose.

Demon, listening to Libera’s words, nodded with a serious expression.

“Indeed, Demon is worried about the same thing as I am.”

Libera thought Demon understood her feelings and was about to suggest taking Rose back.

However, Demon, a step ahead of Libera, opened his mouth. He mumbled towards Libera with a subdued voice.

“I’m in favor of this couple.”

Demon’s expression as he said ‘this couple’ looked extremely serious.

Libera was dumbfounded.

No, it was absurd. Somehow, Demon’s expression seemed oddly pleased, unlike me, who was worried.
Libera did not want her daughter to be entangled in such gossip.

If Rose were to get pregnant, it was obvious what kind of rumors would spread.

People would mix all sorts of mocking words and chew Rose up as gossip material.

Libera didn’t want her daughter to be hurt anymore.

Rose had already experienced all of this through her marriage to Eric.

Male lead Asks for a Divorce Every Day

It’s not often you come across a plot like this in the female-dominant genre — make sure to check it out!

This is a novel I’m planning to reread as well.

The male lead is strong, skilled in martial arts, and not the usual fragile type you often see in matriarchal novels.

Meanwhile, the female lead is a scientist—rational and logical. Even when she falls for the male lead, she doesn’t let her emotions cloud her decisions.

If you push through the first few chapters, you’ll gradually find the story really intriguing.

It has a mix of mystery, detective elements, and romance.

The author’s writing style is like crafting a puzzle—except they deliberately leave out a few pieces, making it hard to predict what happens next, yet keeping you hooked.

In the end, everything will come together and be explained.

One-sentence summary: Wife, stop playing with beakers and look at me!

In a laboratory accident, research scientist Zhu Wansheng accidentally travels to a matriarchal world. The original owner of the body is an eighteen-year-old only daughter of a wealthy rouge merchant, already married with a handsome young man.

Zhu Wansheng grins: Nice! She always said she was heaven’s favorite granddaughter. After a life of toil in her previous life, she can enjoy blessings in this one.

However, her joy lasts no more than three seconds as bad news arrives: the original owner’s family is about to go bankrupt, and her husband wants a divorce.

Even worse, she’s stuck with a research system full of restrictions.

Zhu Wansheng: ? Is this the destiny of a research dog?

——

Faced with this mess, Zhu Wansheng pours herself a bowl of wine to drown her sorrows. In her drunken haze, her husband arrives.

His figure is imposing, holding a long sword, with a dignified air that captivates Zhu Wansheng.

Gu Yingqing, however, looks at the alcohol-reeking Zhu Wansheng with undisguised disgust and coldly asks, “Divorce or not?” The intoxicated Zhu Wansheng mumbles vaguely, “I think… it’s not… it’s not… impossible!”

——

The next day, after sobering up, Zhu Wansheng is full of energy, rolling up her sleeves ready to make a big move. As for yesterday? She has no memory of it.

Zhu Wansheng is ambitious; a research dog fears nothing!

Upgrading rouge, extracting fragrances, producing perfumes, researching lipsticks… all shall bow to the power of modern technology!

The original owner’s dying rouge shop is revitalized. Her mother is pleased and with a wave of her hand, passes on the family business to her. As she takes control and her experimental results gain popularity, it’s the pinnacle of her life…

——

But there are always those who can’t stand to see her doing well. Jealousy, scheming, assassination attempts – they want nothing less than her life.

The person who has always kept his distance from her suddenly holds her tightly in his arms, eyes full of concern.

She is unharmed, but he falls into a pool of blood…

Zhu Wansheng feels guilty, “I can grant you one wish.”

Gu Yingqing tentatively circles his arms around her, carefully resting his head in the crook of her neck, pleading softly, “I regret it. Can we not divorce?”

Zhu Wansheng: ? When did I agree to a divorce?

[Small Theater]

The newly developed rouge is beautifully packaged, and Zhu Wansheng is eager to try it.

Gu Yingqing suddenly appears: “My lady, may I apply it for you?”

Cool fingertips lightly brush her lips. His Adam’s apple bobs as he leans in for a light bite.

Zhu Wansheng: ?

Gu Yingqing: It smells so good, I wanted to taste it…

On a warm spring day, Zhu Wansheng tries a new perfume: “Spring Night.” Gu Yingqing corners her against a wall.

Warm breath lingers on her neck.

“My lady, from now on, may I test the fragrances for you?”
